One thing that bugs me about him is that he has a really slow windup and release. Reminds me of Rohan Davey. Just slow in general with reads. Although once it's released from his hand it's got some heat on it but that doesn't help all that much when your telegraphing where your going to throw it. _________________

Mallett hasn't looked good. I don't think we'll get any good offers on him. _________________

So in minimal pre-season time, and garbage snaps where he either hands it off, or throws a screen, we're supposed to know that Mallett sucks? So many pre-season MVP's never amount to anything.
We spent a high 3rd Round pick on this guy, the FO obviously liked him enough during the scouting/interview/Combine process to do so.
We also cut Hoyer, leaving Mallett as the only option at QB if Brady were to go down.
I think the FO has a little more faith than posters on here and I trust that Mallett will fetch us something in return, be it a pick, or players, or replacing Brady. _________________

| My guess is Minnesota is only getting Ryan mallett for your 2013 second round pick or a straight up player trade. Who'd Minnesota be willing to exchange for mallett as your QB? Franchised Welker + Mallett for Percy Harvin? |

| And if the pats trade Ryan Mallett (FOR A 2013 2ND) they're getting Matt Barkley, quote me on that. |

If Brady goes down, our season is over no matter if we had both Hoyer and Mallet or just one or the other.
Mallett has looked like garbage. He isn't going to fetch us anything. _________________

This. The general public does not have enough information to make a judgment one way or the other. We are all ignorant of Mallet's ability. |

Mallett was a luxury pick, an undisputed non-need selection, with a high value pick, probably meaning that there was a 1st/2nd Round Grade on him.
I know, that means nothing now, but he's done nothing of note in meaningless action., doesn't mean he's garbage, doesn't mean he's elite, Mallett is neither, he is the mystery box.
Everyone needs to stop being so concrete on their evaluations of Mallett. _________________

I've heard that the Patriots like Tyler Bray, so it wouldn't stun me if we moved Mallett. Take it for what it's worth...
Personally I'm not a huge Bray fan, but he'd be a nice flyer. _________________

Granted, I also think that the team really likes Mallett. Belichick is a fan. _________________

| I'm not really sure if you can call Mallet garbage. Pretty much everyone looked bad in the preseason, especially the line. We don't know how good Mallet would be if he were thrusted into a starting opportunity and hopefully we don't have to find out. |
