While the speculation locally and in NFL circles is that Percy Harvin won't be back with the Vikings next season because of his personal problems with the franchise, Coach Leslie Frazier said: "I don't see any reason why Percy wouldn't be back with us. He should be."
http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/185826592.html?refer=y
Frazier has also stated recently he had no problem with Harvin being in Florida, away from the team, for his rehab and that it was not a distraction to his teammates.
i don't know what the future relationship between Harvin and the Vikes will be, but those are the quotes of the week on the subject at least. _________________

I would really like to see what Percy could do with a good QB.
Unfortunately that disqualifies the Jaguars. _________________

I'd like to see him stay healthy a full season. He's great when he is on the field but when you can't count on someone to suit up every Sunday then it significantly lowers their value. Where have the Eddie George's gone? _________________

eh, it bothered me at first too, but then quotes came out from coaches and players that it wasn't disruptive to them or a problem in any way.
so if it's not a problem for them, i'm not going to manufacture it in to being one for me. _________________

Maybe it doesn't bother players, because they may like not having to deal with a headcase.
To me, when I read comments from Frazier like;
| Quote: | | "It's purely up to him. If he wanted to be around, he could be around." |
I know the media likes to stir the pot and try to create conflict to create a story, "schism" anyone? But with the fights with Childress, the confrontations with Frazier, and not being around the team for the last 8 games, it just seams like Harvin is distancing himself from the team. And there's usually only 1 reason a player does that. _________________

What else do you expect them to say? He's a punk for not supporting the rest of us through the playoffs? That's a good way to get him to return. There's no reason unless he is not allowed to fly (swelling ect..) to at least be present at the game. Hell sit in the pressbox if you don't want to freeze your butt off. Percy was just acting like a baby.because they not only made the playoffs without him but felt they could win as well without him. Seems like I've heard this story somewhere before? Maybe we'll get to see Harvin doing sit ups in his driveway too? _________________

oh, Viking players are pretty straightforward with their comments publicly. they were critical of Childress, for instance, and he controlled whether they played or not.
Look at Kluwe, he certainly speaks his mind. and hasn't said a thing about Harvin. _________________

| I thought it was pretty common for players to rehab at home. I don't think that's usually much of an issue. |

S Jamarca Sanford: “Percy and me are always texting. I’m making sure he’s still good, keeping his head up and reminding him to be ready to come back strong next year. He loves the success we’re having. He tells me he’s really proud of us. I know it was hard for him [to go on IR.] He wants to be with this team, helping this team win. But unluckily he got hurt. That’s part of the game. So all he can do is sit back and watch. He just has to be ready to recover from that injury and be ready for next year.”

Coach Frazier: "I know he rooted for his teammates throughout this process. There is probably nobody more excited about what we achieved as a team than Percy. I don't know if there is anything that needs to be done. I mean, he'll coexist peacefully. He exists peacefully now. Just get back, get healthy, get back on the football field."

Quick! Everyone make a big deal about Percy not supporting the team so he can get cut and sign with the Patriots!...
Percy! You're a terrible teammate, I don't think you should ever play in the NFL again! _________________

Wouldn't you expect them to say that though? It's not like they're going to come out and throw him under the bus. Personally, I think it's pretty lame, but that's me. _________________
