Any thoughts on rumor going around that the Commish wants to eliminate kick offs. The new rule is projected that the scoring team will have the ball 4th and 15 at their own 35 yard line. They could go for it or punt.
The logic being that Punts are less violent than kick offs.
This introduces a huge amount of strategy into the game. Especially late in a game. If you are down two scores, I think converting a 4th and 15 is probably easier than recovering an onside kick. Games may get more interesting. |

That whole rumor is ridiculous ... lets just stick to the game we all know and love.
I highly doubt they will eliminate kickoffs because of the lower named guys ... thats where they get their shot at making a name for themselves. Also they have made the kickoffs much more safe by moving the kick off line up to the 35 _________________

It is not the commish's idea. It is Greg Schiano's which is due to his Rutgers player that got paralyzed.
And I do not like the idea |
