Really a shame if this is how his tenure ends as a Cardinal judging by his quotes his heart really seems to be in Arizona.
Now finally. Can he still ball like he used to? The Vikes could use a safety opposite Manchild Harrison Smith. |
Wilson claims he will not play for any other team if the Cardinals won't have him. He's typically a man of his word so I would think he's going into retirement if the Cards cut him. |

I have a hard time seeing him walking away if he still has desire to play. He is not a bad player, he is just getting older and is not as good as he used to be. He would make a fine addition for some team in strong need of an in the box safety. _________________

Thanks for the info guys. Just the thought of Harrison Smith and Adrian Wilson on the same field practically makes me drool. _________________

I honestly hope we do not let him go, but rather keep him on the team as a leader, mentor and playing him snaps in a role that better suits his abilities right now, maybe a nickel/dime LB and early down safety.
His dreams of the 30/30 club may be over at this stage, but this man has put his body and soul on the line from the days at Sun Devil stadium through to now. He still has the ability to be a great roster player, so why let him go? _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

It will come down to money.
Simple as that.
If he will play for what we offer, Adub stays, if not, end of a great career here |

A-Dub apparently broke down in tears on the podium last night. Said it was all the emotions coming out after the 9 game losing streak and everything that was being said about his status last week. _________________

Make him a Cardinal for life. He deserves that. |

Maybe. 1 play doesn't change my overall opinion of the kid, which is that he's nothing for than average.
He did play 12 more snaps than A-Dub did yesterday. _________________

He's improving under Ray and Louie. That can't be overlooked. _________________

I don't see that at all. 2 easy picks, 1 on a tipped ball, isn't any improvement over what we'd seen previously. Still misses assignments in coverage and still doesn't initiate big plays. _________________

179 games is the most in Cards history?
Even if we're talking since the Cards moved to Arizona, I think Aeneas Williams might have played more games.
Anywho, will be missed. _________________ Legends Never Die. They Breathe Through The New Generation.

I thought Khodder said awhile back that Johnson hasn't actually missed too many assignments this year. |

Williams played 160 games for the Cards before playing for STL.
Only Wilson and Fitzgerald are the remaining Cardinal players to have played at Sun Devil Stadium. _________________
