This could hurt them maybe. A change like this is huge. Who's going to call the plays now? _________________

With DEN, NYG, and CIN remaining on the schedule...the playoffs are no certainty _________________ Stevan Ridley, Att: 225, Yds: 1010, Y/A: 4.0, TD:9

The following all need to happen for the Ravens to miss the playoffs:
1) Ravens lose out
2) Colts win a game
3) Bengals and Steelers win Week 15 and 17 games
4) Bengals and Steelers TIE in Week 16
It's a certainty. _________________

Someone better than Cam Cameron.

| I wouldn't expect anything to change this season honestly. It looks like we're going to use cam's system. |

| I like how many people are concerned about this big a change for a playoff team, but most people had no problem with the 49ers going to Kaepernick. That's more likely to derail a super bowl run in my opinion. |

| It's slightly different than when Jets fans celebrated Schotty being gone, but I can tell you from experience there isn't going to be some sort of big revelation on offense. At best you can expect a modest improvement. |

I mostly agree. The one thing I'm possibly holding out on is the talk from certain circles that Cameron's offense was SO antiquated, they were flabbergasted that it even exists in today's NFL. That's worth a look, at least. _________________

Will Caldwell call the plays on gameday? He's never done that before... I hope they let Flacco run some more no-huddle and let Ray Rice run some more period. I don't remember the last time a division leading team fired a co-ordinator with 3 weeks left in the season. Kind of odd if you think about it. _________________ GO SEAHAWKS GO!

8-8 or 9-7 best for Seattle. (& No Playoffs) |

Im surprised that it took this long for him to get shown the door. without reading much into it, my guess is that the final straw has to be the lack of utilization of Ray Rice. After watching any Ravens game, it truly puzzles me as to why Ray Rice is used so infrequently. Especially when it comes down to the 4th quarter, when they are either in the lead or chasing a team, it feels like Ray Rice isn't even in the stadium. Ray has so much god given talent and athleticism, if this kid was on any other team in the entire NFL, I wouldn't be surprised to see him with 30+ touches a game coming from either taking a hand off, to catching balls out of the backfield or even running routes. Sure, he may be on the "smaller" side as conventional NFL wisdom has been over the decades, but the guy is built like a tank and has shown that he is able to take the load upon himself. A guy like Ray, especially in the offense that they run in Baltimore wanting to air it out so much, and Rice being one of if not the greatest receiving running back in the entire NFL, he should be stacking up at MINIMUM around 2k all purpose yards every season, year in and year out. Rice should be able to get around 1500 yards on the ground, with another roughly 700-800 yards through the air, which would put him racking up around 2300 yards from scrimmage a year. and I honestly think that those numbers are even quite modest.. in that I personally think that his talent is so great that if healthy, he should have no excuse running the ball for close to 2k yards a year, while bringing in almost 1k yards through the air.. that's just my personal take.. my $0.02 regarding what Ray Rice should be able to do every year, simply because he has the talent to do so. The only people in the NFL that seem to be able to stop Ray Rice on the field, has been Cam Cameron.
Yea.. like I said, just my $0.02, and my rant on why I think that Cam Cameron has finally gotten fired because of his failure to put a running back with that much talent on the Ravens offense back.. _________________

They want to get a chance to evaluate Flacco in Cam's absence so they can make an informed decision as to whether or not to give him that big next deal. |
I didn't really think of it like that, but I guess you make a good point. What would yall consider to be the best offensive type scheme for Flacco and his talents/weaknesses? _________________
