http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8734493/sources-braylon-edwards-waived-seattle-seahawks-new-york-jets-radar
| Quote: | The Seattle Seahawks waived wide receiver Braylon Edwards from injured reserve, clearing the way for him to possibly return to the New York Jets, according to league sources.
Even though Edwards criticized New York's organization last week, multiple league sources said the Jets will consider bringing back their former wide receiver, either by claiming him on waivers or signing him if he clears them. |
I made the thread about Edwards being waived but thought this news was worthy of a new one. With Holmes out for the year and Hill injured, the Jets are running out of WRs and are very thin there. Apparently Edwards will clear waivers tomorrow if no one puts in a claim for him.

you know your desperate if your looking to bring him back in. and the sad thing is, Braylon might be the best WR on their entire WR corps if they actually bring him back _________________

Holmes, Hill, Gates, and Keller are all out. Chaz Schilens has arguably been our healthiest receiver this season. CONTEMPLATE THAT. |

The Jets are ravaged with injuries at the WR position and Braylon worked great with Sanchez. _________________

Eh, why not?
He did pretty well there with Sanchez. Its not like the Jets have much else at WR. _________________ With much cheese,

| That's pretty much it. The Jets have chicken scraps left at WR and need someone who could actually step in and play. He's one of the few guys that actually works well with Sanchez. |

It couldn't hurt, I guess. I just think people are exaggerating, just a bit, when they say he'd be their best WR, even with the chicken scraps they're working with. It's been a long time since Edwards had a good, heck, even a mediocre, year. Can't stay healthy, has a major case of the dropsies, and he's no spring chicken.
Maybe there will be chemistry with Sanchez, though. Who knows. He seems to be a really good guy off the field, so I'm glad he's still playing. _________________

Makes sense to me. If I were them I would have brought back Plaxico also a long time ago. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant

Jets released Kahlil Bell to make room for Edwards. His return to New York is imminent:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000109614/article/braylon-edwards-closing-in-on-new-york-jets-return
| Quote: | | ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday the Jets released running back Kahlil Bell in order to make room for the wide receiver, according to a league source. Schefter was told the Seattle Seahawks waived Edwards from injured reserve on Tuesday, opening the door for his possible return to the Jets, who will reportedly claim him on waivers or sign him if he passes through. |
It also says the Jets pursued a trade with the Seahawks for Edwards earlier in the season. Now they'll get him back for nothing. |

I understand that. But at this point in the season, what's it going to accomplish? Why not bring up some PS guys or younger guys and start preparing for next season?
This move is like a man on the cusp of death deciding to start eating healthier. _________________
