Not like its detrimental though ... didn't he get moved down to 3rd string two weeks ago? | Yep...which is kind of weird considering (and Steelers fans know more about this than I do) Mendenhall seems like a much better back than Redman/Dwyer. |
I think the reasoning is because he doesn't want to be there. Redman/Dwyer who give 100% are better than Mendenhall who gives 0% _________________

this isn't some sort of "big loss" to the Steelers. Mendenhall is terrible.
He doesn't run hard, and I really question his vision. He dances way too much in the backfield, and when you play behind the Steelers Oline, it doesn't help.
Hopefully the Steelers invest some in Dwyer. He's a big back who runs pretty hard. I don't know if he'll ever be anything special, but he's good for us right now.
Mendenhall might be a good backup behind a team with a good Oline. _________________

Every time I see a Mendenhall story, the first thing that comes to my mind is how he took dance lessons when he was rehabbing. Dance lessons was the last thing he needed... _________________

If he can't show up and support the team, even though he is inactive, then he doesn't deserve to wear the Steeler jersey. How can he gain the respect of his teammates now? It's best for each side just to move on after the season.
The Colts, Packers, Falcons, and Jets are some teams that I could see be interested in. He's still only 25 years old. Like packerraymond said he could sign a one year deal to prove that he is indeed worth a long term deal. _________________

One of the more frustrating backs I've seen. He has games where he runs with so much speed and strength but then the next 3 weeks it looks like he doesn't care at all... _________________
