| Quote: | "To land Davis, Grigson sent the Dolphins a 2013 second-round draft pick along with a conditional sixth-rounder. The Colts regain the latter because Davis won't meet the play-time conditions."
"Along with recouping the conditional '13 sixth-round pick, Grigson said the Colts also regain the conditional seventh-rounder they sent to Philadelphia for linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd. Lloyd didn't make the roster while Fokou, like Davis, won't meet the play-time benchmark." |
So all in all, we traded the 5th to trade up for Hilton and the 2nd for Davis. I'm feeling much better about this "re-load" |

Definitely nice to have more picks for depth. Adding Dustin Hopkins with one would be nice, too. We may end up with a good amount of picks after compensatory picks. _________________

Speaking of comp picks: Are we eligible for a comp pick for Peyton? _________________

A little heads up on how it looks for Comp Picks
Free Agents signed
DE Cory Redding (BAL) 3 yr $10.5 mill
S Tom Zbikowski (BAL) 3 yr $5.5 mill
DT Brandon McKinney (BAL) 2 yr $2 mill
WR Donnie Avery (TENN) 1 yr $615K
G Mike McGlynn (CIN) 2 yr $1.95 mill
C Samson Satele (OAK) 3 yr $10.8 mill
HB Mewelde Moore (PITT) 1 yr $825K
CB Darius Butler (CAR) 1 yr $615K
Free Agents lossed
WR Pierre Garcon (WAS) 5 yr $42.5 mill
TE Jacob Tamme (DEN) 3 yr $9 mill
C Jeff Saturday (GB) 2 yr $7.75 mill
G Mike Pollak (CAR) 1 yr $765K
LB Phillip Wheeler (OAK) 1 yr $700K
QB Dan Orlovsky (TBB)
DE Jamaal Anderson (CIN)
LB Ernie Sims (DAL)
I'm pretty sure that Orlovsky, Anderson and Sims all signed veteran minimum deals so I'm not going to bother looking them up. Also Anthony Gonzalez and Joseph Addai signed with New England but neither made the final cuts.
Comp Picks take into effect not only contract size but production. |
