He was.

Decided to try one for British Columbia and there are only 4 footballers I can think of. Dunfield (TFC), Haber (some Scottish club), Josh Simpson (Young Boys) and Adam Straith (loan to some Bundesliga II club). However, there is a team that came be set up from Ontario. Got this all from a Cansoc forum
GK - Greg Sutton (just retired from MLS...)
LB - Marcel de Jong (Bundesliga)
CB - Nana Attakora (First division Finland)
CB - Adrian Cann (MLS)
RB - David Edgar (Championship)
CM - Jonathan De Guzman
CM - Julian De Guzman (MLS)
CM - Atiba Hutchinson (Eredivisie)
RW - Junior Hoillet
AM - Dwayne de Rosario (MLS)
ST - Lucas Cavallini (first division Uruguay)
And two of the players don't even play for Canada... (the two that are actually good) Ignore the random positions. There aren't enough good players to make a real formation _________________

Inside forwards or did you put Sarabia/Juanfran on the wrong wing? _________________

I don't support the England team as I can't be bothered with international football but have always wondered what a North West England team would look like. Was tough but gave it a go:
North West England
GK: Scott Carson
DR: Martin Kelly
CB: Phil Jagielka
CB: Ryan Shawcross
DL: Leighton Baines
MR: Ben Marshall
MC: Steven Gerrard
MC: Leon Osman
ML: Tom Ince
ST: Wayne Rooney
ST: Danny Welbeck
Not bad, I'd worry about the two young wingers both playing Championship football but overall it's a pretty good team. _________________

ST Juan Agudelo | That's a pretty outstanding list right there for one state. John Harkes and Tony Meola are from New Jersey too. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

He's been in Cumbria since he was less than 1, went to school here, supported Carlisle United and played for us as his first team. He's from the North West. _________________

The criteria of the exercise is where people are born. It becomes almost impossible to judge if we are taking it from where people grew up or where they feel part of. _________________
