The D looked great. The Panthers have been playing way better on O in recent weeks, but the Raiders made it tough for them.
The only legit TD drive they allowed was a result of Steve Smith getting away with a blatant push on 3rd down. The other TD came after Leinart threw that INT in his own territory.
Desmond Bryant, and Lamarr Houston really stuck out to me.
On offense, there wasn't much to be happy about, but I thought Jared Veldheer had another very good game. I can't think of anyone else to mention on O. _________________

Mike Pereira thought the ref should have ejected Newton. _________________

Good:
- Defense held up for the most part
- Burris was usually in position to make plays. Needs to work on finishing but the pieces are in place
- CB play was much better than I expected
- Our offense didn't take a complete nosedive after Palmer got hurt
- Blitzes looked good. Mitchell did well with that. Newton wasn't happy with the pressure we generated
- It appears Greg Knapp has discovered the quick slant
Bad:
- No running game again. Thanks in part to Keuchley.
- Losing containment on SuperCam every now and then
- Not enough Pryor in the game. Especially with no Palmer.
- Knapp play calling was pretty rough at times
- Little to no Myers and not enough Reece.
Ugly:
- Tommy Kelly. Just gtfo.
- Leinart's long incompletion on 3rd and 4. Move the effing chains bro.
- Allen going for that 4th and 4 rather than the FG. Get the points, c'mon man.
- Refs |
This was Kelly's best or second best game of the season and he didnt even start it, cant agree with that off o this game (he has been trash most of the season though)
And the offense was putrid, beyond putrid. That said I agree with basically everything else. |

Our offense looked terrible without Carson Palmer at quarterback. _________________

Yep. I think that about sums it up.
Could add Barnes and Carlisle to that list as well. Along with Kelly. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors

I'd put Mitchell and Burris in there as well. _________________

He really didn't play that well though. Bryant is already better. And I was talking about the stupid penalties and starting fights.
Complain about him all you want (I know I will) but Leinart did drive our team down the field a few times. Which means it wasn't a complete nosedive

+1, Mitch is a guy I've been watching improve all year. He's a solid blitzer and improving in coverage. I forgot to mention Houston being an animal again. He was held like half the time I watched him and it never got called. And he still almost got to Cam numerous times even dealing with that and being slower than Newton. Hope all 4 can continue this trend. |

I don't know if he just sucked or called the wrong defense but they're playing way better without him on the defense. |
Slowlando, plus others. Starting Bryant, playing Ross and starting Adams have also helped. |
Really I think it has been Ross, Adams, and Carter all playing more that has helped us. Way more than McClain not playing. Gaither is barely playing 25% of the snaps I believe. |

I stated it before and Mitchell continues to improve. I think he is really going to blossom in this new structered regime. Too add what you said he has been one of the more solid tacklers for us this season. He is another guy besides, Carter, Ross, and Adams that has gotten a ton more playing time as of late. |

| Yup. He really seems to be responding to the new coaching he's getting. Seems to be playing better than Branch was imo. Not even worse in coverage and takes slightly better angles. Kinda hope Branch sits again next week to get another look at Mitchell. |
