That's not a bad concept at all! It's definitely better than the Little Mermaid logo (the logo isn't poorly designed. It's just girly). I am trying to convince my girlfriend to enter a design. She's a graphic designer and has made a lot of money designing logos for many companies. She's at the top of her class at our university. There is hope for us yet!

People have posted the logo several times, but I believe this is the entire uniform Mock Up by Nike as how they envision the Phins....I could be wrong, I'm only speculating...

Done and done. I loved the logo, and am a fan of the jersey. Numbers may need to change but that should be the logo.

Two things...
1. I love the logo, except the sun should be all orange. And I'm still up in the air if we keep the helmet on the dolphin with the "M" on it. It's traditional.
2. The numbers should be the same as we have now without the shadowing. I don't think we should change from what we have now unless it looks like the standard version in the 80s.

I agree with your two main points. The sun should be all orange instead of orange and navy. Maybe the designer was trying to incorporate the moon? Anyway agreed on the orange sun.
I also think the number font should be different than the one displayed here. I like our current font even with the shading. I would not be opposed to a font change don't get me wrong I just don't like that one. I don't mind the change of the helmet stripes but I think a new uniform should include some more colored piping for a more modern look since the logo is more modern in design.

I really hope that we do not keep the shadowing. It is awful.
And those scales on the orange don't look right either.
