Guardian did a poll of all the journalist that they employ/use of the top 100 footballers and aggregated their votes. I thought its pretty interesting to discuss and we haven't done a top player discussion in a while so what better way to spend Christmas, According to Nate Silver, who is is the absolute truth, because the Guardian aggregated their data, this list is thus 100% correct. So, do you guys 150% agree with this list or 200% agree with this list. If you disagree with this list, what would be your "unskewed" top 10 players in the world?

He is not a better player than about 20 people below him, no way he's better than Alonso, Suarez or Thiago Silva. Neymar at 12 is also laughable.

The only one of those 3 you named you have a case for is Silva. It's laughable how underrated Busi remains. He's better at his job than damn near everyone on that list is at theirs.

I have no problem with Neuer being the 3rd best keeper. I still think Casillas is the best and Buffon had a great season and Euro. Neymar is a little high. Would still put him in the top 30 but 15 is fishy.

No it's just Suarez that he's inferior to. Not every Barca player has to be in the worlds top 15 you know.

No it's just Suarez that he's inferior to. Not every Barca player has to be in the worlds top 15 you know. |
Only the ones that deserve it. Busi deserves it.

Pirlo should be third and Ribery should be top 10. Pique shouldn't even be on the list, I'm fine with Biscuits top 15. Also Buffon > Iker. Those are my comments on the top 20.
Also Forlan on the list? Did someone just wake up from the world cup? Also did Modric not make the list? That is hilarious

Modric's #80. Agree Pique shouldn't be on the list. He hasn't been the same player for a while now.
Other things on the list...
Neymar at 13
Cesc at 36
Evra being on this list
Cazorla needs to be a lot higher
I'd personally put Gotze over Reus, though neither should be higher than Cesc...
Emmanuel Mayuka...really?
Also Nasri...his description was great. Almost like the person who wrote it didn't understand how he made the list.
