I just got trolled by TNT so hard. Thursday, Knicks-Spurs, so I figure it's gonna be an 8:00 TNT game. Go to ESPN.com and the 1st quarter's nearly over. _________________

Same, I thought the game would be on TNT but my brother told me a few hours ago there aren't any games on there. _________________

People forget everyone plays defense and hustles in the playoffs. Your team has got to be able to score in the playoffs. |
Pacers will be in nearly every game in the playoffs but they can be had in the last five minutes of the game. Nets have to keep it close and they should be straight. But man, Ramster is going to be sad camper . So you guaranteeing series wins over the Bulls, Knicks, and Nets? |
Over the nets and Bulls??? Easily! _________________

How about the Knicks?
New York playing great defense, but it feels like one big San Antonio run and the game will turn. Another one coming down to the wire! _________________

| I pull for Corey Brewer to go for 80 every time we play the Nuggets. Im glad he's getting his game together, I wish he was doing it with us though. |

About that SA run? Yeah, not happening as the Knicks have run off 10 straight to start the 4th quarter. The game is a wrap and Pop gets to rest Duncan/Parker. _________________

This game's over. Don't understand why Pop didn't target Amare every time he got on the court _________________

Is there anywhere you can find stats for how the stats a player allows against their opponent? If not there really should be because I think it'd allow us to finally have something to work with when discussing the best defenders. Only thing I can find is sites that list what a certain positions stats are against each team, which is nice but doesn't tell close to the whole story. Still can find some useful information, NBA.com offers matchups while hoopstats offers team vs position. What I found interesting though was Iggys true impact as a defender... He's primarily played and covered the opposing SGs this season, and improvement from this year to last year is undeniable.
Last year SGs had a 22.3 PER vs Nuggets, 29th worst in the league (as in 22.3 was second highest PER allowed). This year SGs only have a 15.9 PER against the Nuggets, making us now 1st in the NBA in that category. Iggy single handedly moved us from 29th to 1st in that regard, that's pretty great. In my eyes this is a pretty legitimate stat seeing as not far behind at #2 are the Grizzlies (Tony Allen.) You hear all the time how great Allen is as a defender, I'm thinking Iggy deserves attention as well as he's been doing this for years. Last year Iggy primarily played SF for the 76ers, and SFs playing the 76ers had a PER of 18.4, 7th best in the NBA (7th lowest PER allowed). This year SFs playing the 76ers have a PER of 20.9, only 17th best in NBA. Numbers don't lie my friends.
So yeah hat about wraps up my little love rant for Andre Iguodala, if the eye test wasn't enough then here are the stats to show that Andre is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. Got all my info from this site BTW http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/opponentstats/13/1/eff _________________

Moss i think I can find that stat for you. Last year the Sixers held SF's to the lowest PER IIRC..
This year Paul George is allowing a 10-Per. Our lowest defensively. _________________

You are allowing
15.6 to PG's
13.2 to SG's
16.3 to SF's
15.0 to PF's
and a whopping 19.1 to Centers
Your best PER production is coming from the PF spot
17.9
PG is 16.2
SG is your lowest 12.6 _________________
