With Palmer set to earn a ton of money over the next 2 seasons, it's realistic to think that the Raiders will try to bring him back at a reduced rate after cutting him. But if another team closer to contending that fits his talents better wants him, I could see him leaving. Which leaves the Raiders with a hole at starting QB that will either be filled through FA or the draft.
Can Mike Vick be the stopgap that convinces Dennis Allen to keep Greg Knapp for another season? Even if Knapps not kept around, it seems like McKenzie's set on the WC offense, which Vick's a good fit for if given good protection. What do you all think? Will Vick be wearing the silver and black next season? _________________

Too much money and our WRs have enough problems catching balls that aren't at his velocity. _________________

Mike Vick is finished, Foles was better behind that same crappy line. Rather bring back Jason Campbell. _________________

Vick makes decent O-Lines look bad (did so in Atlanta for years). Imagine him behind our O-Line _________________

| From what I been hearing Vick would be a perfect fit. From whats been said this season, Knapp doesnt let QBs make adjustments at the line and Vick sucks at that anyway. |

Isn't Knapp the one who ruined Vick by trying to turn him into a WCO QB? _________________

Sadly this has been when his offense has flourished, when Palmer was running plays at the line. I for one think Vick will not be here next year. I think he still has 1-2 good seasons on the right team, but this is not the right team here. I just don't see him being a DA Reggie guy. _________________

There's really no such thing as a perfect fit in Knapp's offense. He needs to be fired. But I could see him whispering in Dennis Allen's ear the same BS that got him hired in the 1st place. _________________

true.
Only thing that can save Knapp now would be Pryor having a great game and Knapp knowing how to use him. Thats why the OC in DEN is sought after he can design offense around any QB that is succesfull. |

If we do lose Palmer I wouldn't mind picking up Vick as a stop-gap if we don't draft a QB. Vick would probably cost a decent penny and other teams will surely be interested in him. _________________

| There's no need to worry about QB at this point. I'm not saying Palmer is rock solid, but just about any resource spent upgrading QB would be better spent upgrading other positions. |
