Hankins makes a ton of sense for Carolina. Sheldon Richardson could be another option at DT.
If the DT's fly off the board in the top 10, an offensive tackle could be a possibility. Jordan Gross is starting a steep decline, and would be much better suited for RT at this point, so if a true left tackle is available (Lewan, maybe even Fisher), I wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up being the pick.
Its also possible that the front office falls in love with a safety and reaches for them. This would be more likely if the Panthers win again this week. _________________

Terrible selection for the Raiders, Reggie McKenzie has already expressed that he's going to rebuild our team from the trenches out. I also remember him saying before the draft last year that you can find good linebackers in the middle to late rounds as well as UDFA. There's absolutely no way we're going to use a top three pick on an inside linebacker especially considering our lack of a pass rushing defensive end, a run stopping defensive tackle, or a number one cornerback.
Miles Burris has played well and we'll probably look for a middle linebacker later on in the draft.
With Tommy Kelly and Richard Seymour both more than likely on their way out of Oakland this off-season Damontre Moore or Sheldon Richardson would be much better selections for us. _________________

1.) Kansas City Chiefs - Geno Smith [QB; West Virginia]
2.) Jacksonville Jaguars - Star Lotulelei [DT; Utah]
3.) Oakland Raiders - Manti Te'o [LB; Notre Dame] wow...that's early for an ILB...
4.) Philadelphia Eagles - Luke Joeckel [OT; Texas A&M]
5.) Detroit Lions - Dee Milliner [CB; Alabama]
6.) Buffalo Bills - Jarvis Jones [OLB; Georgia]
7.) Cleveland Browns - Damontre Moore [DE; Texas A&M]
8.) Tennessee Titans - Sam Montgomery [DE; LSU]
9.) Arizona Cardinals - Taylor Lewan [OT; Michigan]
10.) San Diego Chargers - Johnthan Banks [CB; Mississippi State]
11.) New York Jets - Barkevious Mingo [DE/OLB; LSU] the NYJ tend to lean toward the bigger OLBs, I bet they go Ezekial Ansah
12.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Xavier Rhodes [CB/S; Florida State] great pick for them I think.
13.) Carolina Panthers - Jonathan Hankins [DT; Ohio State]
14.) Pittsburgh Steelers - Dion Jordan [DE/OLB; Oregon] I dunno, he strikes me as much more a 4-3 SLB than a 3-4 OLB; I worry if he would realize his potential, but his lack of pass rushing productivity scares me and would probably scare off the Steelers
15.) Miami Dolphins - Keenan Allen [WR; California]
16.) New Orleans Saints - Bjoern Werner [DE; Florida State] I'd rather have Bjoern Werner than Dion Jordan
17.) St. Louis Rams - Justin Hunter [WR; Tennesese]
18.) Dallas Cowboys - Matt Barkley [QB; USC]
19.) New York Giants - Sheldon Richardson [DT; Missouri]
20.) Chicago Bears - Chance Warmack [OG; Alabama]
21.) Cincinnati Bengals - Kenny Vaccaro [S; Texas]
22.) St. Louis Rams (from Washington) - Eric Reid [S; LSU]
23.) Minnesota Vikings - Cordarelle Patterson [WR; Tennessee]
24.) Indianapolis Colts - Barrett Jones [C/OG; Alabama]
25.) Baltimore Ravens - Terrance Williams [WR; Baylor] oh good god i hope not....
26.) Seattle Seahawks - Robert Woods [WR; USC]
27.) San Francisco 49ers - Jordan Poyer [CB; Oregon State]
28.) New England Patriots - Tony Jefferson [S; Oklahoma]
29.) Green Bay Packers - Eric Fisher [OT; Central Michigan]
30.) Denver Broncos - Alec Ogletree [LB; Georgia]
31.) Houston Texans - Kawaan Short [DT; Purdue]
32.) Atlanta Falcons - Tyler Eifert [TE; Notre Dame]
Looking for constructive feedback. Let me know other players and/or positions that I should look at in future mocks. |
stuck some comments in here and there. Overall, tough to argue with the draft, especially this early in the process _________________

Ansah isn't an OLB. He's basically Quinton Coples. _________________

I've heard/seen people say that. He's taller than normal. I wonder if his athleticism would still allow it. _________________

Would prefer Werner than Allen for the Dolphins and can't see Matthews dropping out the 1st round but most selections make sense to me _________________

| I hate Dion Jordan. He will not be a successful OLB in the 3-4. Id take Bjoern Werner there for the Steelers. |

There won't be three safeties drafted in the first round, but overall I think you have a good idea of who will go early.
It's so early, but I think you did a great job! |
