feel free to help me out! I just figured it'd be smart to keep all the moves in one spot so we can see where we are at. Shouldn't be too hard to keep it updated |

We haven't had a tracker like this in years. You can look in the forum directory if you want to see how Spiel did it in the past. I'm going to put this thread in there. _________________

| This is a great idea. We all know that Sparano will be gone tomorrow, but i'm hearing now that Tanny is getting the ax tomorrow too. |

http://thejetsblog.com/nyjets/jets-hire-executive-to-lead-search-for-new-gm/
| Quote: | The New York Jets have hired Jed Hughes of Korn/Ferry International to lead their search for a new general manager to replace Mike Tannenbaum, according to a league source. Hughes is the vice chairman of the sports sector of the Korn/Ferry, which is an international, executive recruiting company. The Jets also used Korn/Ferry when they hired current team president Neil Glatt.
It has been reported for the past week that the Jets were planning to move on from Tannenbaum.
Here’s more info on Jed Hughes |

Areas we need to address:
QB
RB
WR (even with Braylon and Holmes coming back still could use a stud)
TE (should we lose Keller which I think could happen)
OG (If Howard can slide there and be successful I can live with him and Slaus)
RT (Howard was average at best and could be a possible OG candidate meaning a RT would be a big need)
FB (would be a nice upgrade)
FS
OLB (at least 1, I think Pace can be a 1 year stop gap on the other side)
Areas we can ignore for now:
Punter (looks like we finally have a good one)
DL (depth is always needed but we have 3 good young ones to build around)
MLB
CB
LT
C
SS (as long as we can bring back Landry) _________________

Those two aren't issues if we keep our players. Holmes, Braylon, Hill and Kerley is a good set of WR's and potentially more depending on Hill. If we keep Bell and Landry then safety is set.
Also I think there should be a colour indicating safety for Rex (blue?) and have black remain as an unknown future. _________________

Yeah might be able to pass on a WR (for one more year) if we keep Holmes and Braylon. Not sold on Bell as the FS though. Still think we could use more of a coverage guy. He's a SS and is better suited there. He's getting up there in age and would be a nice 3rd safety to have. Not the biggest need for sure but still a need I think. _________________
