Who do you see us drafting? Who do you want? What kind of ransom can we get? What do you see as our biggest need that should be addressed? |
One of the interesting things about the Jacksonville Jaguars is that they've shown themselves, time and again, to be willing to step outside the box of conventional thinking, and draft players not expected to go as high as the Jaguars end up taking them-
2011: Blaine Gabbert, 1st Round (10th overall)
2010: Tyson Alualu, 1st Round (10th overall)
2008: Derrick Harvey, 1st Round (8th overall). Quentin Groves, 2nd Round.
So! Who you WANT the Jaguars to draft, who you THINK they should draft, may not be who they actually end up taking. A Jaguars' fan may expect Star, or Dion, or Geno- and hear a different and surprising name called, when the Jags are on the clock.
Who do you see them drafting? Who can say? They might take one of the familiar top prospects- or they might make some bold and exciting gamble on a player no one anticipated. It's all part of the adventure! |

Gabbert wasn't a surprise, he was ESPN's love child for like 4 months, until we took him, then they acted like he no longer existed...sounds like a bad relationship. _________________

Reports are coming out that Pioli is staying with the Chiefs for another year. Couple that with the reports of him favoring Tyler Wilson, and we're likely to have Geno land in our laps if we want him. _________________

Been saying this foreva! | That you have. I just thought it would be more likely that a new GM would take the guy they wanted over what scouts on the team wanted. Having a new guy come in and leave the decision that will likely decide if he has a job in three years rest on in the hands of scouts doesn't seem entirely likely. Obviously they would play a role in the process, I just think a GM would be likely to override them if it were to come to that. _________________

Geno smith is abysmal, I would rather give blaine another chance then pick another future bust in geno smith.
while geno is probably more accurate than blaine, he (like blaine) does not have the pocket presence that you need in a star QB. He takes the silliest sacks I have ever seen and it seems like he does not even see it coming.
It is also very weird how he doesn't stand tall in the pocket. He kind of hunches over and I can't see how that could help him in the NFL.
At this point, star or a DE in the first, barkley in the second. |

So you think Geno is awful, but think we should draft Barkley?

| Hopefully we land Tim Tebow. So we want have worry about QB and take THE best player in the draft in Jarvis Jones. Everything about that guy says Von Miller and who wouldn't want a Von Miller or THE second best player in the draft Bjoern Werner aka The Germanator!! |

Tebow makes our QB situation even more of a concern. _________________
