Greg Knapp, Frank Pollack, Steve Holland and Johnny Holland Out in Oakland
Those reports have been proven correct. Coach Dennis Allen announced Monday that Knapp has been relieved of his duties.

The Oakland Raiders have released offensive coordinator Greg Knapp, special teams coordinator Steve Hoffman, offensive line coach Frank Pollack and linebackers coach Johnny Holland. Head Coach Dennis Allen made the announcement Monday.
"Decisions like this are very difficult," Allen said. "I have a great deal of respect for all of these men and I appreciate their contributions to the Oakland Raiders this season." _________________

Here is from Rotoworld :
Raiders fired OC Greg Knapp.
The Raiders have also fired interior line coach Frank Pollack. Translation, goodbye zone-blocking scheme. It was disastrous one-year stint for Knapp in Oakland, as he refused to adjust his beloved ZBS despite having one of the premier power runners in the game at his disposal in Darren McFadden. The Raiders went from averaging 22.4 points under Hue Jackson in 2011 to 18.1. An impressive majority of those points came in garbage time. Knapp has likely coordinated his last offense, but his run-game prowess should earn him a position coach job for 2013. _________________

Never should have axed Bob Wylie. He had that Oline rocking for Hue. They overachieved big time. Pollack, Knapp, ZBS. Such a huge failure. _________________

Agree. I thought Wylie was the one coach that would be safe other than Wiz. |

Dennis Allen said he is “not tied to a specific system” so new offensive coordinator won’t have to be zone blocking guy
Per VicTafur
WTH, he didnt say that before. Dont like that he is changing his tune.
Honestly of whats out there I like Hue Jackson the best as an OC. lol
Next after that, Turner, then the Bills OC. |

Idk, I mean it's not like our LB's were great or anything. I'm going to trust there judgment just because they saw him coach every day so maybe there was something they didn't like. _________________

I've said this numerous times about Wylie.
He & Wiz did a great job with the group of guys we had. _________________

I'm OK with it. I see what you're saying, but also, it's not necessarily a bad thing when a coach changes his mind because he see's that he was wrong. Shows some humility. Hopefully he truly is learning and trying to improve his coaching abilities. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong
