Called Buffalo pulling a weird candidate. Dude although rebuilding a program is just still underwhelming. Simply put, buffalo doesn't attract people unless they throw money at them _________________

I really, REALLY thought we were past these moves.
Nope, Brandon makes the safe business decision instead of what was probably the best football decision. _________________

Gosh, I was sure they'd go with Ted Bundle, long-time, much-beloved football coach at the University of New York at Potsdam. There's the upstate New York connection, and he'd come extra cheap. Figured it would be a natural! |

Really excited to have Doug Marrone. He was given a complete mess by Greg Robinson and now were on the verge of becoming a top 25 team again. Doug did an excellent job with 2 star recruits and some how made them into winners. He is a great coach and great person.
As a Syracuse fan I am really pissed. I really hope Scott Shafer stays here as HC instead of going to be the Bills DC. _________________

That's what I was figuring. I know alot of fans will hate this hiring especially after names like Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, and Lovie Smith among others spinning around on the open market. Aside from Lovie, this might be a nice under-the-radar hiring. Marrone isn't the biggest name, but if has the ability to bring some consistency to the Buffalo Bills and can get a team that is atleast consistently competitive week-in and week-out that will be the next step for the franchise.
This is coming from a Chiefs fan and one of my biggest issues with the Chiefs under Pioli's regime is the complete lack of consistency. We weren't able to compete at the same level each game and in this last year it was absolutely horrible - we got blown out just about every week.
While I am somewhat surprised that Lovie Smith wasn't ultimately hired, Marrone might be able to get the most out of the talent they have. _________________

| My brother has been a Bills fan for a long time and him andI both agree that this was a huge joke and mistake. When you have guys like Lovie Smith, Jon Gruden, Jay Gruden, Bill Cowher, O'Brien, Josh McDaniels, Kyle Shanahan, and even Brian Schotty you take a chance on one of these guys. I don't even think he was that great of a college coach. |

Well, anyway, the word "marrone" is a commonplace exclamation in Italian. Literally, it means chestnut brown, and connotes something else of that color when used a cry of dismay and woe. So, if the Bills do something stupid next year, you can yell "Marrone!", and both be rebuking the coach, and crying "S___!" |

The Bills could definitely have done worse than Marrone. I personally think that Lovie was a better pick. However, Marrone is a solid hire. _________________

It was dependent upon where you wanted the focus: offense or defense. Obviously they are more concerned with reviving the offense. _________________
