Oh boy. The GM says there is no scenario that could lead to Tebow being a Jaguar and people still can't let it go.
And no, this wasn't a "no tampering" answer. His answer about Greg Roman was a no tampering answer. "No scenario even if released" is significantly different than "he's under contract, we can't discuss it" which was his answer about Roman.

Okay. What would he have said if there was interest in Tebow? You're making too much out of it because of your own bias.
And no one available until the 2014 draft gives you a better chance to win than Tebow.

If there was interest? "He's under contract and can't be discussed". Do you see the difference between saying that and flat out lying to a fan base?
I'll just ignore the hilariously untrue second statement.

And he said that about Roman before he said anything about Tebow, so it's not like he figured out how to phrase it after already addressing the possibility of Tebow.
Further, Casserly thinks that he's going to get fined for what he said because he is supposed to simply say "He is under contract with the New York Jets so I cannot comment on him at this time" and nothing else. So no, it wasn't a answer to get away from tampering.

We'll never win. Tebow is going to be 40 years old and still have rumors about being signed by the Jaguars.
Just like we are still going to LA next year or something lol.

In retrospect that almost made it certain that it was going to be anything but a lock
