Geep Chryst would be my dream candidate. I would be fine with Pep Hamilton, who we are very interested in. _________________

| Pep Hamilton would be the best fit for the Jets. I'm holding out hope we hire him. |

Why? |
Because his top competition is Cam Cameron.
The Jets OC job isn't attractive. At all | Well the reason I see that it is unattractive is because, the OC would be on Rex Ryan's coaching staff. I believe that the new GM will fire Ryan next year, unless he has a playoff run. Ryan's time is up in NY, that was made evident when Woody Johnson said that the new GM couldnt fire Ryan.
So in short work under Rex for 1 season, with that offense that isnt too great, then more than likely get sent packing after 1 season. _________________

I guess it's not the worst decision. We all know that the Jets are going to be pitiful next season in large part because of the Sanchez contract.
Clean house in 2014 and shed terrible contracts, then rebuild from scratch. _________________

If they hire him I will LOL for about 10 minutes. Do they seriously lack common sense? For their sake they better look else where. _________________

Whoever takes that job knows they will have to be looking for another job in 2014. How many of us expect that an OC can have success there with their current situation?
You take a pretty big chance that you could be unemployed in 2014 or back to college, which would seriously derail a coaching career. _________________

Even if Rex is fired, the OC could stay. _________________

New coaches rarely keep existing coordinators, particularly if they are offensive minded, which most HCs seem to be. I think most will see the writing on the wall for Rex, and with a strong chance that they have to work with Sanchez, it's not an attractive option. _________________

| The Jets are clearly not an attractive landing spot for OC's. I dont know why anyone, Jet fan or not, would try and argue otherwise. |
