I like the hire. Ton of weapons. When healthy one of the most athletic OLs in the league. I think a future All-Pro in Foles.

Two weeks before signing day, Oregon fans must be pretty upset.

Guess the Eagles didn't get rejected after all... Eagles always get there man, and I think that was always Chip Kelly. I didn't like him at the beginning, but I think it might work out.

Welcome to Philly Chip Kelly. Very Happy

I would think he'd use Vick, or some other scrambling dual-threat QB in his system, no?

But good grief, with those weapons he has and hopefully a healthy offensive line with Lesean McCoy Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

He doesn't need to run Oregon's offense. It's going to be up tempo and they and run oriented. But he doesn't have to run the option.

ESPN Stats & Info‏@ESPNStatsInfo

Chip Kelly is the 1st head coach the Eagles hired directly from the college ranks since - Vermeil left UCLA for Philadelphia in 1976.

It hurts because I thought we had him locked down for this year as well.

I wonder what else Lurie offered him.

I couldn't trust a coach that plays the games Kelly has, and that's coming from someone who already views most high level football coaches in about the same light as shady used car salesmen.

Over/under on the chances he pulls a Saban and just dips out back to college one day before a game? Laughing

Andy Reid was run out of town because he never won the big game. So whats the Eagles plan? Hire a coach that never won the big game. Philly!

Laughing I'm sorry, but that was funny.

I thought for sure he would stay at Oregon. It's going to be interesting to see how he fares in the NFL. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

I know it's official, but let's see if he actually follows through. He Billy Donovan'd the Bucs before, I wouldn't count it out again.

But if he sticks around, I love the hire for Philly.
