Good hire. The defense he plans on running depends on the defensive coordinator. He could also bring Norton over who he's worked with over the last few years. Norton might be more apt to leave since being passes over for the DC job in Hawkville.
I'm sure he'll run a ball control offense, with a lot of play action... _________________ I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous. |

I'm happy, he is a high energy guy that will turn the defense around _________________

| Like the hire my only concern is lack of pass rushers. From what I understand he is from the 4-3 cover 2 school and Pete Carroll brought along the LEO wrinkle when he became the head coach. If that's so than his defense would require some stud pass rushers which the Jags lack right now. |

Gus makes me want to put on pads and just hit somebody. He is the complete opposite of Mularkey.
I love his passion. I'm excited about the hiring. _________________

I dont see this hiring as a good for Jax, but only time will tell.
I think Carrol deserves the credit for the defense that has been built in Seattle and nothing about Bradley's resume screams quality head coach material.
Who knows though, but if Bradley's tenure rests on the arm of Gabbert, its not going to go well. |

That is partly true and false. It is true that Pete Carroll (and John Schneider) were responsible for bringing in the talent, but Gus is a great motivator and a lot of the Seahawks board feels like he will be a better HC than DC.
Along with that, he has appeared to have acquired some of Pete's better traits and he has a vision that is very similar to what Pete presented (and succeeded off). _________________

Well hopefully he's a better HC than he was a DC. He's absolutely maddening with his playcalls and got by with the talent on the roster and the scheme put in place by Carroll. Perhaps the most undeserving candidate on the entire market.
With that said, he definitely has the traits to be a better head coach. He's a players coach just like Pete and should earn respect quickly. Personally, I don't see him being successful, but the difference between a successful coordinator and head coach are substantial so there's a very real chance he could succeed.
Thank god he's not our DC anymore. _________________

I don't understand why people keep saying it is Carroll's D but then blame Bradley for shortcomings. _________________

The positive in this is that Bradley gets to do things his way, not how Pete wants it to be done.
Pete has done so well in Seattle in part because he has control over everything. _________________
