It will be interesting to see what Wis can do with Phillip Rivers. _________________

This comes out of left field. I was fully expecting Jeff Davidson from Minnesota. I'm a little suspect of bringing in the Wiz since Arizona's line wsa the only one I can say was definitively worse than ours last year - and I can't help but feel like Wiz may mean Russ Grimm (exactly how much blame can be put on Rod Graves? And even then I end up feeling the same way I did about AJ Smith in that he wasn't helping the team by not investing higher picks in OL, but our pitiful OL coaches weren't developing the guys we did have well at all).
Here's hoping... and at least I know there are a number of bitter Broncos fans over this who had visions of Wiz and Peyton together that have now been crushed. _________________

Wiz has to be a silver tongue devil. The man was living off Kurts golden era, He did zero for that offense! The defense was talented no doubt, But you need offense. _________________

| Always thought Whiz was a tad overrated as a coach. He was given Warner and Fitz but hasn't developed anything else on offense. He did hire Horton so he gets credit for that but I don't know how much say he had in teh defense |

I hope he wasn't who you were hoping for. He's dreadful. _________________

Makes sense, I mean the Chargers biggest problem is obviously the OL and he did a great job fixing that in Arizona... _________________

I still have to wonder how much of that was Fox affecting the conservative nature of the play-calling with his overall influence.
That and... Minnesota's OL wasn't exactly what you'd call a strength in 2010, enter Davidson in 2011 and now they're a unit that just paved the way for the 2nd best single season rushing performance in history. Granted drafting a franchise LT in the top 5 certainly helped with that, but Sullivan seemed to turn a corner under him. And OL is without a doubt the biggest need in SD. _________________

| Good hire. I think Whis is going to be a good OC for them and I expect Phillip Rivers to look a lot better next year, barring something rediculous where they don't address the O-Line. |

You mean, ignoring a problem for five or so years doesn't fix it?
Whisenhunt is a good in-game coach. Or...was until the last half of this season. They won a lot of close games. As long as Whisenhunt has no say over personnel, I think he can do well.
Can't say that I'm surprised he's not a head coach somewhere. His resume is extremely lacking in that area. Kurt Warner took the Cardinals to the SuperBowl, not Whisenhunt, and with the help of a very weak division. _________________

This is a hire that works damn well for the Chargers. The number of plays that were left on the field over the last three seasons by Arizona QB's is just amazing. The offense and the play calls were creating oppurtunity for big plays to be made, for chunks of yardage to be peeled off, but our QB's did not have the ability to hit open receivers 20-25 yards down the field.
Ken is a prety good in game play caller, he has tended to not lean on the run game as much as many have wanted which could be an issue for some, but I think that fits well with what the personnel in San Diego dictates. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
