Check your tweets, Billy. It's VP of Player Personnel, not GM.
But either way, BOOO from this Browns fan. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

Unfortunately, we all saw it coming
Joe Banner just signed his own death warrant in this city. _________________

You'll have to forgive me I don't follow much of the Browns, what do you mean by this?
I wonder if Lombardi will keep doing any NFL Network stuff? _________________

He went from Tom Heckert (our best gm we've had since we returned) to Lombardi |

To your second point- no
To your first point: Browns fans were, as a whole, supportive of Heckert and felt like he was doing the right thing. And then Banner fired him under the idea that he would bring in someone better.
However, rumors existed that Michael Lombardi was his target the whole time, despite the fact that Lombardi has absolutely zero qualifications for this job, and was just handed it for no reason. Lombardi is trash and his failures will be forever linked to Joe Banner whose name will be poison unless we win. _________________

But either way, BOOO from this Browns fan. | In his defense Schefter tweeted that he was hired as the GM, then quickly updated his tweet minutes later
| Quote: | @AdamSchefter
Browns hired Michael Lombardi as GM. |

Update: Michael Lombardi's title in Cleveland will be VP player personnel. |

Said this in the Browns' forum:
Good freaking grief.
Well I suppose we will find out whether Chud can coach or not. Because he certainly isn't going to get any players.
Unless they still make another hire and Lombardi won't be actually acquiring the players?
Wow, great day yesterday turned to spoiled milk. _________________

From Tony Grossi a local Browns insider, he stated Lombardi's contract was up and he wasn't going to be retained in that capacity anyway. _________________

He wasn't even good enough to work at the NFLN and yet here he is making decisions in for the Browns, what a joke _________________

Back when he was with the Browns he took Touchdown Tommy Vardell (FB) with the 6th overall pick. Does that tell you why we don't like this?
The honeymoon with Haslem and Banner looks like it will be short lived. _________________

I still dont understand why they fired Heckert anyway. He was bringing in good players. _________________

Wait, I'm confused as to why Browns fans hate this hiring so much. Lombardi's resume isn't that bad, is it? |

We had him here once, his primary successes were in helping Bill Belichick draft terrible players and helping drive Bernie Kosar out of town. _________________
