FA Signings
1. Andy Levitre - LG Buffalo Bills
It will be good to have a capable vet at his natural position next to Martin.
2. Louis Vasquez - RG San Diego Chargers
Instant upgrade that will do for Lane Johnson what Levitre should do for Jonathan Martin
3. Brandon Albert - LT Kansas City Chiefs
Capable veteran back up that (due to unhealthy back) can't be counted on for a full season at this point but can be counted on for depth (at a reasonable price) and a veteran option if your Jonathan Martin fears are actually valid.
4. Michael Johnson - DE Cincinati Bengals
Double digit sacks opposite Wake ? yes, ci and oui
Draft
1. Cordarrelle Patterson - WR Tennassee
2. Barrett Jones - OL Alabama
2. Robert Woods - WR USC
3. Desmond Trufant - CB Washington
3. Phillip Thomas - SS Fresno State
4. Travis Fredrick - OG Wisconsin
5. Joseph Fauria - TE UCLA
6. Jonathan Brown - OLB Illinois
7. Khalid Wooten - Nevada - CB

* Please use the depth charts to determine resigned and unsigned Dolphins
Also ... here's the thing about drafting another QB ... You are either going to have to have 4 on the roster or forfeit the element of experience. Draft one and Tanny and Pat Devlin will be the experienced vets on the roster, while the rook would be our 3rd string. So as far as other vets worth mentioning, there's Flacco, Jason Campbell and Tavaris Jackson if not MAtt Moore. Or you can draft one and keep 4 QBs on the roster.
Bfore you look at luck and griffin, consider their receivers and TEs ... _________________

| Getting Patterson and Woods would be pretty crazy. I'd be happy with the draft, though I'd like another DB from the Free Agency though, release Carroll please. |

Lets see...
Oline help - yes
WR help - yes
Pass rush help - Yes
Pass defense help - Yes
If these are the areas that are identified as needing upgrades then draft works. One can address these area's in a number of ways and this one could work. I till hate taking a WR at 12, but if he "Wows" at the combine (he has the tape, though I haven't much from his JUCO days) and the G position gets addressed it works. I do like this quote from him..."just make a move and get to the endzone". The guy likes to score and can do so from several different ways. What is interesting is how much can be done and the different ways of approaching it.
I love Jones and Woods in the second, both were very steady for their teams and should be "safe" picks (especially since Jones can play anywhere on the line) and contribute right away. _________________

I would get on board with this offseason. I would have liked to see more of an upgrade at TE but I think Fasano is serviceable. Patterson, Jones, Woods, Trufant would be a great way to spend the first 4 picks of the draft. _________________

If he goes in the 5th, definitely! Guy is a top 100 player. He's an absolute monster in the blocking game and for being so tall he's sneakily athletic. Great redzone target. Not a burner to attack the seam consistently but could still help this team.
Funny, I was just watching tape on him today. _________________ -Proud 2011 Inductee to FF's Miami Dolphins RoH |

I'd have liked a veteran receiver but that offseason is too good to pass up. Significant upgrades to the pass rush and offensive line as well as my favorite WR prospect (Patterson). Fauria is also a guy I like because of his absurd size and Woods is kind of a nice bonus. Well Done. _________________ "well, they got X player I wanted but they clearly overpaid" is the battle cry of bitter and ignorant football fans

Wouldn't here me complaining.
Very high on Phillip Thomas and would love to pick up Barrett Jones.
With regards to free agency not so hot on Albert as I still think he will command decent bucks but Levitre and especially Johnson yes please.
Wake and Johnson = Tom Brady Ouch. _________________

Didn't know much about this kid but went back and did some tape work. Hes tall and shows that he can be a redzone threat for T-hill. Curious as to why he made the transfer from ND to UCLA. Might have some upside and for a 5th would take the chance. Not sure if I would consider it a steal though _________________

In general, I really like this. I'm not sure if its the exact one that I would put together, but on the whole I think this is a relatively sound set of moves. _________________ "22 players are involved in every football play. Many will love this off-season because some of the players will be gone before the Dolphins pick (and are valued much higher then were they are being drafted).
If the hype continues to build and Patterson has a great combine (sub 4.4 40 and over 36 inch vert) then he will be gone in the top 10). There is no way Jones makes it out of the 1st round....too much ability and versatility. Fauria will be gone by the end of the 3rd and will not make it out of the 4th round. _________________

He's on the depth chart behind Desmond Trufant _________________

I like the focus of the offseason, though my preference might be for different WRs in the draft.
If I'm adding it right you can keep two more players because you've got Fauria and Fasano there twice.
Looking at who is there on offence, my opinion would be an extra TE (likely Clay) and a bigger running back (probably Thomas).
I like the signings but I'm not sure that Albert would be signable for less than starter money. I think if we were to sign him it would be to start at LT or LG. _________________
