Kudos to the greatest TE to ever play. Glad I got a chance to see him on my favorite team for a couple years. _________________

Hope he reconsiders but he is a great guy and just wants to spend time with his family. Wish him the best and hope he stays connected to the Falcons in some way. _________________

Here's to a man that redefined a position and became the measuring stick. Tony, you're the man. Hell of a guy and player. You'll be missed (except when the saints play you and you catch every damn red zone touchdown). _________________

Amazing career on the field. Class act off the field. It's too bad the Falcons couldn't have pulled out the win for him today. Best of luck to him in his next phase of life. I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever he does. _________________

Yeah.
I just looked up his stats. The most impressive: 254 games played out of 256 possible. The man missed just two games in his 16-year career. One in 2006 and the other back in the 1999. That's incredible. I'm going vegan. _________________

I'm so furious right now. On 4th and 4 Gonzalez was wide open and would have likely scored a TD to take us to the Superbowl and Ryan completely missed him. Take your eyes off Roddy! He's covered FFS!
What a stupid way to end your career. You could have gone to the Superbowl if Ryan had just glanced 10 feet to the left instead of staring down a covered receiver like he's a freaking rookie.
This was the year and it's gone now. If this team couldn't do it, with all these weapons, we're screwed in the future. |

My brother is a huge KC fan... so I have seen him play many years. Absolutely great player and a model athlete that all could learn something from. Best of Luck
(but I will secretly hope you come back one more year) _________________

| If you were starting a franchise from every single player that ever played in the NFL you would get no argument from me if you started with Tony Gonzalez. He's an unbelievable class act and I'll miss him as a Falcon. |
