I would recommend resigning and/or franchising Martellus Bennett because the FA and draft class in TE is very weak. I know in the mock league I was in, TEs were almost all franchised (there was no team resign period). One less position to worry about. |
I already made a whole spreadsheet on free agent targets at all positions and left a column (blank for now) to make up prices we would go up to.
I'll be distributing that soon, to those that are in. I would love input from everyone on potential additions to this list and prices we would go up to for each of these free agents. I didn't include RFA or ERFA though.
As for Martty, I agree with franchising him. Its a modest bump from his 4M dollar salary this year to only near 6 million. |
Good deal, I'll look at it like everyone else and give my input on things. Giants will be back to Super Bowl Champions!!!! _________________ XBL/PSN/WIIU- Fracdaddy14

I'd like to get involved with some decision making if that's ok? Not got a ton of knowledge of the money stuff but I'm making an extra effort to get a handle on some prospects this year so could hopefully give some decent input on the daft side of things _________________

Added my thoughts on what prices we should go to for every free agent.
0 is no offer. _________________

I'd love to be of help. I don't think I have time to take on the responsibility of a GM or Assistant, but I could definitely provide some input.
Oh, and from reading this thread, figured I'd pass my opinion along regarding the Marty B/Franchise tag situation. I think the Giants would be better off financially to franchise KP. Similar price tags (TE are about $6 million; S is around $6.5) and he plays at a position of more importance. Also, KP might get that salary or more if he were to become a free agent. Just throwing an idea out there... _________________

Sent you the link.
I just don't think KP is worth that money. Hes hurt half of the time. In the other hand I think Martty is definitely worth 6 million. Especially if he was worth 4 million last year. _________________

By the way, can we trade DC 7 (did I do that right)?
I think his backups at the position are more than capable and they are cheaper. |

I am not sure if we can actually start talking about roster moves until we actually have a GM, especially since there are now two candidates
But I am all in favor of trading DC7... I believe he is on the Trade Block already |

Funny how I knew exactly who you were talking about before I even looked at the sheet. I think the correct call would be TB 4, but I am not sure. Anyways I think if we can get a 4th for him we should go for it, but find a replacement in draft for free agency in case of injury and for depth. |
