Yeah, it'd be absolutely ridiculous, same as the Seahawks having a home game against the Saints. I dont' know which is worse, but i stilll think seedings by records would work better the majority of the time. _________________

Yeah, I don't care too much either way regarding seeding, just add 2 WC's. _________________

Where is that 1-5% of the time where winning their division doesn't get a team in? _________________

Why? If the teams aren't good enough to get in with how it is now, why should it be expanded just to allow 2 more teams in? Just to get rid of a BYE? _________________

If you're trying to minimize things, that's actually quite a lot. _________________

If you're trying to minimize things, that's actually quite a lot. | my numbers were off in this example but my point remains, in the past 5 years 92.5% of teams that won their division would have made the playoffs based on record alone. One could argue that getting rid of divisions would fix that anomaly but otherwise the reward for winning the division SHOULD be a home playoff game |

| Going back to realignment in 2001 I didn't find any other examples. I don't expect to find any prior to that because their were 3 division winners and 3 wild cards before that. |

Oh, I misunderstood you then. I thought you were saying 95-99% of the time you win your division, you get into the playoffs, as if there have been teams to win their division yet miss. _________________

Haha, that's what I thought he meant at first as well. _________________
