Where is that 1-5% of the time where winning their division doesn't get a team in?
2010 Seattle Seahawks (7-9) wouldn't have gotten in on record alone without a division win
2011 Denver Broncos (8-Cool wouldn't have made the playoffs without a division win


Oh, I misunderstood you then. I thought you were saying 95-99% of the time you win your division, you get into the playoffs, as if there have been teams to win their division yet miss.


There have been if you count ties.


Them missing out on a tiebreaker means they didn't actually win their division.
