Especially if there's a bunch of beef in Taylor, Hughes, Rubin, Winn infront of him? I'm not convinced that Frostee Rucker cant be good in the 3-4 as well |
Because he's (generously) 230 and the typical ILB in the 3-4 is about 240-245? Not saying he CAN'T at all. Just saying that I think he'd likely be better in the 4-3 and that if we can get 4-3 value for him we should do it. Obviously, we haven't gotten the value we're looking for and thus haven't made the move. |
And I'm saying lets see him in the 34 before we get rid of him
Dudes a baller
Ballers tend to ball regardless of scheme, especially when Horton played the 2-4-5 nickel a lot in AZ last year. Gonna need fast backers. |
Look at all the ILB's we have.
WILB- D'Qwell Jackson/ Kaluka Maiava/ Craig Robertson/ Adrian Moten/ Emmanuel Acho
SILB- Chris Gocong/ James Michael-Johnson/ L.J. Fort/ Tank Carder
That's why we're looking into moving a couple of them, rather than just cutting them. We have too many. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

seems to me like he fits into the "little guys that can hit" part of Horton's mantra _________________

Mistake
I'd agree about Hughes and rather not trade him.
I'm asking his value because at least 2 teams have made offers for him.
Even though we didn't think they were good offers, we have to consider his value at some point in case a trade were to come up that might appeal to us.
I was just wondering how you felt about his value.
And we def are thankful for the opinions.
I wish some of you guys would be more involved with this even though there isn't an "official" title _________________

Big picture, trade-wise, I didn't expect us to do much, if anything. We still might if the right fit comes along. Swapping a 4-3 piece for a 3-4 piece still makes sense in theory.
But free agency is where we'll need to plug a few holes. As much as I liked Heckert, I didn't like how he would enter the draft with a screaming need on the roster (or 3) and essentially force us to draft certain positions. CB is a current example. I'd like to sign 2 of them in FA. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

Agreed
We don't have many trade assets. Most of them are going to be an intregal part of our team moving forward.
TBH, if we had a 2nd this year, I'd be willing to ship that for a proven guy just because I don't think this draft is that good. _________________
