I honestly know nothing of those two players so I'll abstain. _________________

Vote is in favor of yes, 12.5-0.
Indy, on the other hand, has all but killed the deal. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

Texans are in "cap cutting mode", so their FA should be available. They also are interested in trading up, and we could be a target. Would we move down that far? _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

Colts have a crap load of cap, so if we want any of their FA's, we might get into a bidding war. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

Yay to the trade, although it doesn't seem to matter at this point. I would still Lefeged if possible, though. He's what we'd be looking for in terms of D/ST depth. _________________

Exactly. I would still make the offer of a 7th straight up if they would entertain that. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

Guys, this is from a Lions fans perspective.... QBs had a QBR of 38.2 when throwing to Don careys coverage. Compare that to 118 and 100 that you'd be getting in return. Only 41% of passes were completed in his coverage. Good for 4th best in NfL among safeties.
Id take that into consideration. _________________

He's not as bad as everyone makes him seem. And at 25, he's a young capable backup who I would let stick around considering how cheap he'll likely be. _________________

I actually want him starting. His coverage is insane and he deserves extended time. Erik Coleman sucks. Get rid of him instead. _________________

For our priority to resign one of our UFAs, I think we should go like this (if one fails, we can move on to the next).
UFA Priorities
1) Chris Houston
2) Sammie Hill
3) Louis Delmas
If you want to put your priorities here, I can work on forming a weighted group average. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |

If we can work out the cap end so that we could do this plus afford a few free agents, would there be any interest in franchising Delmas? 6.8 Million. We'd get two first rounders if he got signed.
I only want to investigate the possibility because he's a name I'm 90% sure we'd lose him in free agency. We should investigate all our options. _________________ Football is love, love is life. |
