Yes Johnson or someone else could play there, but I don't anticipate them doing it very well.
That's like putting Gocong at OLB and saying that their isn't a hole.

| Maybe I'm missing something. Isn't Jackson an ILB? We have Sean Lee. Why would we want to trade for Jackson? I could see us trading for Carder, before Jackson to compete with Sims at OLB. |

Question to you guys... Would you trade a 4th round pick for a good proven football player.... I know I would. DQ is a good football player who happens to play at the weakest spot on the team which is LB. If we couldn't at least a 2nd for him, we would be crazy to trade him, and I don't think there is anyone who would trade that much for him. _________________

Miava has experince in the 34. Acho look good in college and was doing well in camp before he got hurt. Same with JMJ only much later in the season. And Gocong 's best years are when he played ILB. Carder Fort and Robertson have all shown flashs.
Even if DQ stays he is only a short term answer at ILB and not a good one.
With him traded away assets are gained and younger guys get experiance.
Oh and lets not forget about durability. DQ is going to have to stack and shed with 2 surgically repaired boobs. Last time he was in the 34 he spent a lot of time injured and on IR. I am not seeing how age and more NFL millage is going to help that issue. |
Way to be hypocritical.
You choose to talk about Maiava for depth and experience to replace DQ? But you Bash DQ for his "inabilities" in the 34?!?!?!
I' HAVEN'T proven you wrong about DQ so many times.
How in the hell is he a short term answer?
and you act like he never has to hit someone in the 43....theres times he takes on blockers directly.
Seriously, start watching games instead of looking at stats.
DQ is the heart of our defense and you want to replace him with a second year player (who was injured most of the year as well, yet you choose to ignore, but bash DQ for). He's smart, great tackler, in position at all times, and makes everyone around him better.
I can't say that about any other LB on our team. |
FIFY
Bowens was the heart of the D at ILB and the Browns replaced him. And he only makes those better around him better in the 43 not the 34. When DQ was out with injuries the 34 ILB spots were better. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Johnson played some 34 ILB in nevada and was projected to be drafted as one. Acho has played some ILB as well. Then there is Carder Fort and Robertson and returning Gocong. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Trying to trade DQ right now would be stupid, you dont have anyone equal to or better than him to replace him. it weakens the team. the talent on the d line now is better than the last time we had a 3-4 and the defensive coordinator we have now is far better than the ones we had last time we were a 3-4. _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

And which one of them is good? Which one has been to a PB? The fact that we have to start one of them NEXT to DQ scares the [inappropriate/removed] out of me. Let alone replacing him and having another next to him. _________________

that is an opinion there is no fact to that, Gocong is coming off a torn Achilies, I like JMJ potential but to say he is better than DQ in a 3-4 cannot be said with any vailidity _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

There isn't a pro bowl LB on the roster including DQ. So I don't get that part of the Question. Gocong is BETTER than DQ in the 34.
Personally if the trade were to happen. I think the starters would be Gocong and JMJ with Acho on the heels of JMJ. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!
