| Quote: | | Amendola is clearly Sam Bradford's go-to guy and is still just 27 years old, but his inability to sustain health could prevent the Rams from making a pricey long-term commitment. Using the franchise tag on Amendola would put them right up against the salary cap. |
Amendola is a beast when healthy, do you guys think it's 100% he is back with the Rams next season? _________________

And regardless to what lazy publications have been suggesting, the Franchise Tag isnt even an option. |

Not even close to 100% sure. I'd say more like 60/40 he's back...
Article hit it on the head. When he's on the field, he's a good option underneath...
He hasn't shown the ability to sustain his health. The FO is gonna be very leery of giving what he'll be looking for; bigger check and multiple years... _________________

I'm not going to lie, I'm expecting him NOT to be retained. He will probably want to much money for someone who gets injured to easily. Sam and Pettis are starting to click nicely , I like Pettis myself. _________________

I don't know honestly. If he wants a huge contract than know. We could draft someone like Austin who could replace his production and at half the price. All while probably playing an entire season.
If we spend big money on a WR I hope it's on Bowe or Wallace and not Amendola. |

When Danny is healthy is as good a slot WR as anyone out there.
The kicker is he has missed time because of injuries so durability has to be a concern. That being said despite missing most of Oct he still led the team in catches and was third in yards.
I see the Rams making an effort to retain him; however, I don't see Snead and company breaking the bank to keep him. |

Agreed, and I can't fault the FO one bit if he does go...
I really think we'll see the Patriots let Welker walk and Danny getting another shot to play under McDaniels... _________________

I honestly can't see anybody but us making any kind of investment in a guy who has been injured as often as DA and is limited only to the slot. He is valuable, but only to the Rams, he'll almost certainly be back next year. _________________

Maybe beast was the wrong word. If he had some strong outside options around him I would expect him to flourish.
What type of money have you guys heard is looking for? _________________

And to say hes only valuable to the Rams? Thats just wrong. A healthy Slot man of the caliber he can be is valuable to every team that runs any decent amount of 3 WR sets (something I can see alot less of from us next year) |

You guys are selling Amendola short, When he's on the field! Sam Bradfords numbers are damm good. Not to mention he always gets open, Dude is a slot killer.
I'm also not a huge fan of him. I thought he would be replaceable with Salas but I was wrong. Danny Amendola is the truth, Too bad about his injuries though.
4-5 Million would be a steal for Amendola. _________________
