Why do I feel like this is going to be a awesome addition lulz wise when he's probably going to be a bit more bland of a analyst than I expect him to be. I just laugh envisioning him trolling the Packers, interrupting the other analysts every two seconds, and threatening to storm off the set if anyone doesn't agree with him _________________

| I think people underrate Favre's intelligence and Xs and Os skills. Sure he threw Ints, more so for forcing throws than anytihng, nevertheless, Favre was a mastermind at audibles, finding mismatches and putting his receiver in the best position he can. |

ehh, not a huge fan of the hire. But then again, he is better than Sanders, Irvin, and Tomlinson.
oh, and Heath Evans is annoying as well. _________________

As a Viking fan, I approve of this move. _________________

I swear dull and inarticulate must be a hard and fast job requirement for all of their analysts. _________________

Anyways, he's probably bored since he can't coach high school football anymore. |

| Are they serious? I'm honestly shocked about this one but intrigued as well. Hopefully, Favre doesn't annoy me as much as certain other analysts on their network. |

Why do we want to look at and listen to a hillbilly on TV? _________________

You listen to the worlds most boring coach give press conferences 16 weeks each year. I'm sure you can handle some Brett Favre. _________________

Thread title is misleading. Favre is joining for that day only as a guest analyst.. Not permanently.
Couple quotes from the the article which apparently no one read:
The retired three-time NFL MVP quarterback will join the network's crew for daylong coverage of Sunday's league championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.
Asked if more announcing is ahead, Favre wasn't sure.
"I don't see it anytime soon but that interest may change in the future," he said. "I think being involved in the Super Bowl was too much to pass up." _________________

BB's (I assume that's who you're referring to) cool detachment from the media is somewhat endearing and interesting. BB is also one of the sharpest knives in the drawer and Favre is the reason we child proof the knife drawer. _________________

You don't play in the NFL for 17 years by being slow or dumb.
BB while smart has the personality of a rock. _________________

You hold a grudge as a fan who has never really invested much. Brett Favre gave his career to the Packers. To call him a Packers hater is just plain dumb. Do you consider yourself a dumb sports fan? |
