DT Sammie Lee Hill, Detroit Lions

Hey, I've been on this guys bandwagon for years and he's a free agent this year. As a Chiefs fan, a Sammie fan, FA, and either Dorsey/Tyson leaving - THE STARS ARE ALIGNED!

Anyway, I was wanting your guys(s)s thoughts. I see him as our Ngata and think he could help eat up those blocks and possibly give us a three down stud on the low.

I'm a huge SLH fan and would hate to see him leave this off season. Any team that picks him up will be happy with him.

I doubt he leaves, but he could play that role for you guys. A good amount of people here think he could be a NT, but he also is a penetrating UT, and could probably play 3-4 DE. He is very versatile and athletic, and is pretty strong, with a good anchor. I hope he doesn't leave, he's a good football player.

Sammie Hill is really solid but he could get an offer we can't afford to match.

He is a depth guy. Nothing special. Big body who can fill holes. Nothing in his game shines. He plays hard and never gives up.

I Like Hill, Plays hard, big body in the middle, I can see him leaving personally to get more playing time and a potential starting position after being in the league 4 years now, Some team out there may well give him an offer we cant match Crying or Very sad

Lions need to resign him. They might need to play Suh more at RE next year the way things shake out. Sammie is a young talent that we need to keep here.

I really like this guy and wish he could get more snaps. Would love for him to see more time with Williams leaving.

I really like him a lot. I would not be opposed to moving Suh to DE and give him more playing time at DT. I do hope we re-sign him. I also hope we can keep Williams for depth and keep that rotation going. Add an edge rusher opposite Suh and we've got one heck of a D-Line.

I like him a lot and he's a great piece to the Lions DT rotation. However, I think he's going to get an offer from another team that the Lions can't match with their salary cap situation. Unless they move to a 3-4 (which doesn't look likely) I can't see him re-signing since the Lions will have to spend that money elsewhere.
