| I have recently learned that the 49ers have access to the Saints indoor training facility for the duration of Super Bowl week while the Ravens have to use Tulane's outdoor baseball field. How could the NFL allow this minor-league mishap to occur? |

First off, the conference of the hosting team (NFC in this case) allows the other NFC team to use their facilities. It always works this way. The opposing conference has arrangements made to use another facility.
Also, the 49ers granted Baltimore permission to use the facility as well, but Baltimore denied it. _________________

1. The Ravens practice outside year round.
2. I just checked the temp, mid 50's.. Why are you complaining? _________________

Not a big deal, but at the same time I think it's still some sloppy organization on the host city and the NFL's part that they're hosting the SB in a year where Tulane's football facilties are being renovated. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

How long before is the SB decided on? _________________

| Because the 49ers can simulate crowd noise in their practice facility and the turf is identical to that in the superdome. |

How long before is the SB decided on? | 2009 was when this one was voted on, I believe. That or 2010. I dunno when exactly Tulane put those renovation plans through.
Like I said, not a huge deal, but it's certainly not ideal. Ravens practiced yesterday in 20-25 mph winds, which isn't the best way to prep for a game indoors.
Anyways, apparently we're practicing in the Saints facility today, as Harbs wants a feel for the Superdome playing surface, which is the same as the Saints practice facility. Certain gentlemanly advantages to coaching against your brother, I suppose. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

| Quote: | | The Baltimore Ravens will move their team practice to the Saints' indoor facility on Thursday after practicing outdoors in heavy winds at Tulane University on Wednesday. |
| Quote: | | "This wouldn't have worked out if the coaches didn't know each other," Ravens coach John Harbaugh told ESPN. |
| Quote: | | Baltimore had the option of working at the Saints' indoor facility late in the afternoon or early Wednesday evening, after the 49ers finished. But John Harbaugh said Wednesday he and the players preferred to practice on schedule in mid-afternoon. |

They actually practice both indoors and outdoors during the course of the year. _________________
