How are his hands? He literally dropped every pass I saw thrown to him Senior Bowl week. Isnt he also a poor pass protector? _________________

If and only if we can get a decent price for him. What he brings to the table fits what we need to the T.
I doubt it and I think we should look elsewhere. I don't want to drop a lot of money for him. I see a later round RB pick or a lesser name FA. _________________ AAL: DeAndre Levy 31 Tackles

He had about 5 receptions in the Senior Bowl game, 1 rec TD. It was his rushing numbers that were weak. There was a pass in the Fiesta Bowl that went right over his head but I believe he had pretty good receiving numbers for that game as well.
All in all, Barner has the talent to be effective but will need some coaching and development in certain areas of his game to be a difference maker. |

In the Senior Bowl he caught 7 passes for 59 yards and a TD.
He had 20 receptions this year for 256 yards and 2 TD. He had 34 total receptions in 2009-2011. _________________

I take it you guys are comfortable with Leshoure as your #1?? I think he should do much better another year removed from his achilles tear.
And yeah, you would be spending more money for Reggie's NAME than his on field productions, you gotta pass on that given your salary cap situaton. _________________ NEW 2011 draft prediction.

I don't see Lacy as being a huge upgrade over LeShoure.
We need someone different. Get us someone with some crazy speed. I still want to see what LeShoure can do in a full season. I thought that the guy was the best RB in his draft class. _________________

The first order of priority should be to improve the run blocking. Improved run blocking will maximize the talent of the current running backs.
Then, they want to add a player with speed the defence has to account for. Signing a big dollar free agent is IMHO not the appropriate approach. Find a back with speed in the late rounds and develop him. _________________

I'm down with this. I would love to see us upgrade one or even two positions on the line through the draft. If you build a good enough line you can get by with those mid-round picks as your starting RBs and still run the ball very well. _________________

I really hope they finally realize that. Build the lines, and then worry about the flashy players. _________________

How realistic do you guys think it is for you to draft a RB in the top 3 rounds this year??
I would be a bit surprised. _________________ NEW 2011 draft prediction.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Mayhew has a habit of taking running backs and receivers in the higher rounds and he's on record as saying they're looking for a replacement for Best.
I think the only safe statement is they won't take a weapon at pick 5. _________________
