Who you got?
I have only been a fan of the NFL since about 2011 (started being a Hawk fan in 2010), so I'm gonna post this topic and read some responses before I say my opinion.
EDIT:
1. Ted Thompson
2. John Schneider (not enough sample size)
3. Ozzie Newsome (love his late rounders, reason him and Schneider are up this high is late rounders)

Call me a Falcons homer, because hey I love my Falcons, but I actually really like this list a lot. I wouldn't change the order or anything. |

HM - Ozzie Newsome. If the Ravens win the Super Bowl this year he jumps to #3. _________________

Why? Ozzie's already won one. What's Dimitroff done to be rated over him?I think TD's a little overrated. He's a good GM and all, but I don't think I'd even have him top 5, let alone top 3. _________________

Ted Thompson and Ozzie Newsome are #1 and 2 however you want to order them.
After that, you can put a number of people there and I wouldn't have a problem with it. _________________

Yea, I was kind of wondering this as well. To anyone who claims he wasn't GM until after 2003, read up on it, we didn't have a GM until Ozzie, before that he was the de facto GM (made all of the picks and signed FA's since 1996).
Other two I would say are Ted Thompson and then Jerry Reece/TD are up there in contention for the third spot. BB does deserve some love by virtue of how consistent and successful that team has been for the past decade. _________________

Ozzie wasn't a GM then when they won.. Sure he was an executive and had some to do with the team, but this is the top 3 GM's, and that isn't part of his GM resume... But Kyle Boller is.
lol, but seriously, Ozzie is one of the best GM's. The Ravens have been to the playoffs 5 straight years and are now in the super bowl. Whether they win or not, it says a lot about the GM when the team is constantly in contention. _________________ Kickers are people too

Only thing I'm confused about is..... Why are people so high on Thomas Dimittroff?
And does Trent Baalke deserve top 3, or even close to it? Because while his 2011 draft was good, his 2012 draft didn't contribute that much at all, and bottom line that doesn't bode well for their future....
And now that I think about it, no way in heck I would put Dimitroff that high. He has the oldest starters in the NFL. That stat means they don't draft so well (as the draft gives you younger players).

Hilarious how Kevin Colbert is constantly overlooked.
He has only helped maintain one of the most consistently quality teams over the last decade.
No, lets put people over him who a) have less overall success, and b) are only being listed because their teams have been good recently.
Im not saying he is the absolute best, but constantly I see people putting lesser GMs over him. Hell, I remember a few years ago many putting freaking Mike Tannenbaum over him. _________________
