|
|
|
Earlier this week 49ers CB Chris Culliver basically went on an anti-gay rant, stating the following:
| Quote: | "I don't do the gay guys. I don't do that," Culliver told Artie Lange on his radio show Tuesday, via Yahoo! Sports, when asked if a gay teammate would be welcomed.
Culliver was asked if there were any gay players on the 49ers.
"We don't have any gay guys on the team," Culliver said. "They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff." |
Do you guys think the league should do something to reprimand him for these comments? I mean it's one thing to say you're not Pro-Gay, but it's another to say your entire team wouldn't be accepting of a gay player and that if they were gay they need to 'get out'.

I dont think we can judge him because of his opinions on a certain subject.
Lets not forget it was until 2011 that allowed gays to serve in the military.
Lets not pretend like its taboo for people to have those opinions towards gays where their job requires them to shower and be naked around each other. |

Gays have been allowed to serve in the miltary for a long time. They just couldn't be open about it. Culliver needs to catch up.
That kind of ignorant thinking will only leave him behind while the rest of society moves on. _________________

Just because people feel this way, doesn't make it correct being gay does not equal being a shower rapist. |

If the league fined every player for an idiotic thing they said then the NFL could buy their own continent with the money they would accumulate.
No, he shouldn't be reprimanded for expressing his views no matter how insensitive he did it. _________________

I understand players being hesitant about it cause of locker room & shower situations but he needs to keep his beliefs private even if he just being honest. They might fine him just to set an example. If the NFL doesn't do anything they could catch heat from rights groups and such. He clarified so it's not a big deal IMO. _________________

I don't get if this is a running joke kinda thing but if not that's a ridiculous mindset to have. _________________

| he was asked a question he didn't just say it because he felt like it. doesn't excuse what was said but he shouldn't have to pay for having an unpopular opinion. |

You really think that he wrote that apology? Listening to him speak I highly doubt that he could come up with anything that articulate. _________________
