Congrats to coach Arians being named AP NFL coach of the year 2012. Glad to have him on board. |

Shouldn't he have to be a head coach to win. Not a replacement for a good part of the season. Good for him though doesn't look bad on the resume should he need it again in the future _________________

| I dont agree with this selection, though I cant complain. Its not conventional, that is for sure. I think Leslie Frazier, Jim Harbaugh and Arians had the best chance at winning it. Though Frazier probably didnt get much votes, but what he did last year with a rebuilding team was exceptional. |

Sure, but he had a tough job and ended up leading his team to a 9-3 record. He coached for majority of the season, but I guess I can see the other side of the argument. _________________

| I should add, Arians did a great job, so i cant complain. Taking that team and doing what he could to get them back into the playoffs after the mess that was 2011, great job overall. |

Well it's called "coach of the year" not "head coach of the year" _________________ Kickers are people too |

The issue I have is... Indianapolis just wasn't a good team. No different than '10 Chiefs or '08 Dolphins. They somehow got to the postseason and then got beat down. He was a nice candidate. But I don't believe he was actually Coach of the Year. _________________

What am I missing? A brief summary, or a link? _________________

True that I guess. Not saying he didn't do a great job. Just think a head coach who coached the full season should get it. I feel pagano did just as good of a job with the team when he was there as Arians did. _________________
