|
|
|
I'm new around here and decided that I'll make a mock draft for everyone's viewing pleasure. Warning QBs will go high then needed.
1) KC-Luke Joeckel LT
Best player in the draft who can fortify the line for who is the QB
2) JAX-Bjoern Werner DE
J.J. Watt had 22.5 sacks this year. JAX had 22 total. Time for some more pass rush
3) OAK-Geno Smith QB
Word is that the Raiders scouts are raving about Geno and Palmer is getting up there and is expensive.
4) PHI-Star Lotulelei DT
Star has a chance to be his name in this league and be huge for Chip Kelly
5) DET-Damontre Moore DE
Vaden Bosch was cut so they need a replacement.
6) CLE-Demarcus Milliner CB
Joe Haden and Milliner would make a pretty good tandem.
7) ARI- Eric Fisher LT
Sack, sack, sack some more, Hit the Cardinals QB
8 ) BUF-Mike Glennon QB
New coaching staff, New QB
9) NYJ-Tyler Wilson QB
Old coaching staff, need a new QB. Fast
10) TEN-Jarvis Jones-DE/OLB
Never can have to much pass rush.
11) SD- Lane Johnson LT
Rivers needs time to throw the ball.
12) MIA-Jonathan Banks
I expect (as a Phin fan) for Miami to resign Hartline and Sign Wallace/Bowe/Jennings and our CBs are pretty bad.
13) TB- Cordarrelle Patterson WR
Surprise, TB could go defense but an explosive playmaker like Patterson will be hard to say no to.
14) CAR- Sheldon Richardson DT
Whenever I watch Carolina, I see a team struggling to stop the run.
15) NO-Barkevious Mingo DE/OLB
Never can have to much pass rush in NOLA
16) STL- Chance Warmack OG
If he falls this far, I'll be surprised and the Rams will be jumping for joy
17) PIT- Dion Jordan DE/OLB
James Harrison might be cut, Jordan has huge upside so he'd fit
18 ) DAL-Ezekiel Ansah DE/OLB
Anthony Spencer might be gone so more pass rush!
19) NYG- Manti Te'o MLB
I love Mark Herzlich and his story and have tremendous respect for him. However I dont think he's starting material (please please prove me wrong) and Te'o can fill his role plus Blackburn is a FA.
20) CHI- DJ Fluker OT
Ask a Bears fan about that Oline and tell me im wrong.
21) CIN- Alec Ogletree MLB
I've read on the forums that Bengals fans would like him so, here you go!
22) STL- Keenan Allen WR
A wideout to help Bradford with Amendola a FA (I think he'll come back)
23) MIN- Sheriff Floyd DT
Sherrif Floyd is flying up draft boards so if he's here, BPA
24) IND- Kenny Vaccaro FS
An elite secondary could put the Colts over the top
25) SEA- Tavon Austin WR
Sidney Rice is often injured and Tavon Austin is so dynamic of a player and he will be getting Pete Carroll love all day long
26) GB- Jonathan Cooper OG/OT
Rodgers was the most sacked QB in the NFL so....
27) HOU- DeAndre Hopkins WR
Andre Johnson is pretty darn good. Imagine if he's not double covered every play?
28 ) DEN- Matt Elam FS/SS
Flacco fires deep Raheim Moore is there, Jacoby Jones!! Touchdown!! Enough said
29) NE- *TRADE* KC-Matt Barkley QB
Because why not?
30) ATL-Zach Ertz TE
Defense is a very realistic option here but after Eifert and Ertz the TEs drop off.
31) SF-Xavier Rhodes CB
Secondary cost the 49ers the Superbowl this year thanks to Jacoby Jones. Who has now impacted 2 draft picks alone..
32) BAL-Kevin Minter MLB
Suga Ray's replacement who has a very good chance to be "elite"
Hope you liked it! Feel free to comment and rip it to shreads |

| With a concussion on his résumé I don't think Tyler Wilson should be a first round pick |

Just because Moore had a bad play doesn't mean we go safety.
Id prefer Minter or Short. _________________

I don't like the Vaccaro pick. Bethea is his ceiling, IMO, and we don't need 2 identical safeties. I won't lose sleep if it goes like that, though, _________________

30) ATL-Zach Ertz TE
Defense is a very realistic option here but after Eifert and Ertz the TEs drop off.
See this is where i hugely disagree with you. Eifert and Ertz themselves aren't that special compared to the other TE's in the draft.
Escobar, Kelce, Reed, and Fauria are all almost as good as those 2 easily and can be had for MUCH BETTER value while us still taking a D-lineman in the 1st round.
Before taking a TE in the 1st round i would rather just go with Chase Coffman and Michael Palmer on the team already and see what a talented kid like Coffman has learned from Gonzo over the last year.
I would take Okafer at DE, Jenkins at DT, Montgomery at DE, or Brown at MLB before a TE. _________________

Pretty good pick for the Vikings, though I would like it much more if Kevin Williams is relased. They essentially play the same position and the Vikings really need a big one technique type player. Someone like Sylvester Williams or Kawann Short would be more effective next to Kevin Williams than Floyd.
As said, if Williams is released (which is possible if he doesnt take a pay cut, I would be more thrilled about the selection.
Overall, not a bad pick but LB, 1 tech DT, WR and S are all bigger needs than a 3 tech DT. _________________
