He has done a good job so far so I would think he has some rope. That's probably a moot point though, because the Vikings should be better next year. I wouldn't plan on seeing them go 5-11 or 6-10. Anything can happen, but hopefully Frazier won't have anything to worry about in that regard. _________________

I honestly expect the Vikings to have between 5-8 wins next year. |

Good move here. The Vikings were a surprise team last year. Be interesting to see how they do next year. _________________ Hey there, Blimpy Boy, flying through the sky so fancy.. free.. |

He's the best head coach they've had in a while, though I may be damning him with extremely faint praise.
Next to Childress or Tice, he looks like Lombardi. |

Frazier got lucky Adrian Peterson decided to run for one of the greatest single season efforts by a RB. I don't think he is that great of a coach. _________________

He has helped in turning a poor defense into a solid one. Its not just Peterson, if Ponder didnt step up down the stretch the Vikings wouldnt have even made the playoffs. _________________

You guys had a very mediocre defense last season. Without Peterson, Frazier does not get this extension. _________________

Whatev. Decent enough coach for defense, and Adrian Peterson carries the offense. _________________ much thanks to nobody on the sig. FF GBP Forum Wiki Page. |

It's not a multi-year extension, it's a team-option that adds another year onto his current contract, which is now set to expire after the 2014 season. _________________

Technically it was exercising an option in his contract through 2014, which they had to decide on this year. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Coachs should not be free agents & as it can skew motivations.
If they are having success they should have 2 years on their contract.
This was a picking up of an option for him to have 2 years IN TOTAL.
Good decision. _________________

well you clearly didn't watch the Vikings if you don't think the def (or Christian Ponder?) helped get us to the playoffs.
Yeah, Adrian Peterson was the biggest reason, but we had a lot of other guys step up when we needed them to to get us into the postseason.
and I believe it stemmed from coaching. We had a few mismanagements with coaching this year, but it was vastly improved from last year, and thankfully the record shows it.
If we can put together another strong offseason, I think Minnesota can be right back into playoff contention. _________________
