We've shared thoughts on Tavon Austin, so I won't rehash that discussion. If the board played out as you have it, I'd much rather go Jesse Williams in the first and take a shot at Terrance Williams in the 2nd. _________________

Not to big on Jones for the Steelers in the 1st. He will sit behind Keisel, Hood and Heyward for a couple of seasons before he gets to play. We have too many holes for that. In your scenario I'd rather see DaMontre Moore, Paterson, Jessie Williams or Jonathan Banks. Preferably Moore.
Like Elam in the 2nd
If we were to go TE in the 3rd I'd rather have Escobar or Reed over Kragg. Or Aaron Dobson as WR. _________________

First mock with Jamie Collins going in the first round. I think that he may be the most underrated player in the draft. Most mocks have him going in the 3rd-5th rounds. I see him more as a 2nd round prospect...but I honestly don't see a reason why he couldn't elevate into the late first round. He has excellent athleticism...has lots of scheme versatility. Well rounded against the run, in coverage, and as a pass rusher. Certainly, he will need to work on technique to be great at the next level...but he probably didn't get the best coaching at USM.
The truth is that as productive as Collins was last year...he would have been even more so if USM wasn't constantly playing from behind (they went winless last season). |

Jones makes no sense at all for the Steelers.
We already have a first round DE who doenst play much....not because he isnt good enough but because LeBeau is too loyal to veterans. What would we do with Jones?
NT is a much bigger need....OLB, WR....hell, pretty much any position except 34 DE. _________________
