The kind of message that makes sense when you actually know the circumstances of the accident and acknowledge the fact that Stallworth very likely would have got off of all charges had he fought it. (Assuming you were implying Stallworth in your "guy's" portion) |
I was'nt I know his case was different. I was talking about that rams DE I forget his name I think it was Little. |

Got paged, but just a reminder:

The Pats have already been strapped at CB, and Dennard was a pretty good player for them; He locked down Andre Johnson in the MNF Pats/Texans game, really shadowed one of the best WRs in the game and made him a non-factor.
With the glut of picks that Bill Belicheck always seems to have, does he look to the draft to find a CB? Do the Pats review over FA options, such as former DPOY Charles Woodson? Or is this much ado about nothing? _________________

He'll probably get a light sentence, all things considered. I'm just not sure the Pats bring him back regardless. Honestly, given the potential headache, and the Talib situation, I would think the Pats clean their hands and get rid of these guys, sign a vet and draft someone. _________________

For the first time in many years the Patriots are entering a draft without an extra pick, in fact they only have 5. [1st, 2nd, 3rd and two 7th round picks] _________________

...was unaware of that as well. You want the 27th pick? Give us Gronk and we'll call it even. _________________

I doubt it's a serious sentence. He'll likely be in and out before we even get close to the season. For a lack of better words, he'll likely get special treatment as an NFL player and not see much jail time at all; if he truly does.
I doubt the Patriots release him over this. They wouldn't have taken a chance (already knowing this happened) if they didn't want him in the first place. He'll be back in no-time and he'll continue to grow as a very good CB. I doubt this really concerns the Patriots future at CB one bit. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Then what is the point of this thread if we can't discuss it? _________________

The point of the thread - and the site as a whole - is FOOTBALL. Not your thoughts on crime and punishment. It's not like we go to a crime and punishment forum and talk about the 40 times of Robert Woods, or whether or not Joe Flacco should get a hefty extension, do we? If we did, I would surmise the Mods of that forum would say "Keep it to crime and punishment, please..."
Here are some football-related questions you can answer, in case you needed some help:

Whatever jail time he may be sentenced to should be done by the summer.
Goodell suspension is a total other ball game. Since Fonz was in college, hopefully he is in the clear.

Damn right he did.
We need to keep Talib anyway, and need a guy like Woodson as well. _________________ A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune. Young people should know that it can be cultivated; that the mind like the body can be moved from the shade into sunshine. Thine own reproach alone do fear |

Actually he wasn't in collage at the time and he wasn't in the NFL either. It's the same situation that Jets Kenrick Ellis had and he wasn't suspended.
Raiders Terrelle Pryor was an NCAA player at the time of his issue and indeed was suspended. _________________
