$7.25 mil is a good enough reason, he was going to be primarily slot CB this year. They offered him less wanted him to restructure he said no to call their bluff and he was cut. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Weird thought ... could this be a sign that the Vikings plan to make a serious move for Revis? They certainly have the firepower to get him after the Percy Harvin trade. _________________ With much cheese,

No way. We play a zone defense where Revis's specialty is man-to-man and considering the financial headache Percy was gonna be, it would be completely backwards to trade for someone who holds out every other year. _________________

Doesn't make sense at all; he's best within 5-10 yards of the LOS. _________________

| I would love to see Winfield on the GMEN as long as the financials are reasonable, like the Cullen Jenkins deal. Criminally underrated career and still solid. |

I hope we can bring him back for less, but if not then best of luck. He will probably go to a team like the Ravens or the Pats to make a final push at a Super Bowl.
He can still play great football when healthy. _________________

At this point he's nothing more than a nickel CB in my opinion. _________________

well, he wouldn't take a cut from $7.2 mil a year. so that's where the financials are. _________________

He wouldn't take a cut from the Vikings from $7.2m he was set to make. A legitimate chance at a ring for a season is something that I'm sure he'd consider.
Will be interesting to see where Winfield goes. Rated as one of the top CBs in the game the last few years. A contender out there is going to get a real good boost from one of the headiest, classiest, and just plain good corners to come around during his tenure. _________________

we'll try to replace him through the draft. This team won't build through Free Agency.
Allthough this move could perhaps help us sign Greg Jennings.
I am shocked. I didn't see it coming at all.
I hope Chris Cook and Josh Robinson are ready to play this year. This is a tough loss.
and yet, at the same time we still have to accept this is a rebuilding year. _________________
