I'm sorta scared to see what we gave up. If Harvin netted that much...

Assuming this is true, of course.

Also from Rotoworld:
Quote:
PFT's Mike Florio believes the package will be headlined by a 2013 second-round pick or a future first-rounder due to the fact Revis is still in rehab mode from a torn ACL.

While I like the fact Revis is getting out of the division, I'm kinda scared to see what the Jets are getting in return.

The Buccs is one of the teams I like rooting for, so seeing Revis go to Tampa wouldn't bother me. IMO, Tampa can give Revis a big contract and not be hurt by it in the long run like the 49ers would have been.

I'm not worried about the contract. We can frontload it to absorb some of our cap space and he should keep quiet for a season or two. I hope we retain the "No hold outs!!!" clause in his new contract.

Future 1st >>>>>>>>>> Current 2nd. That future 1st will be used in a much better draft class than a 2nd in this one.

Breaking News:

Revis had been traded to the Bucs on the condition that the Bucs eat Mark Sanchezs entire contract. The Bucs have ample cap space and gladly accepted the offer. Reports are the QB known league wide as "Butt-Fumble" will be released later today.

For real though, that could be a potentially good spot. The Bucs look to be trending up. If I am a bucs fan, I hope its for something like a 2nd and a conditional pick next year.

What happens if the Jets are still weighing their options and TB ends up signing Sean Smith in FA? Does TB keep their offer, reduce it, or take it off the table entirely?

I just saw a report saying the Eagles have also been in talks. I wouldn't put much stock in anything yet.

We'd consider the Bucs the favorites thanks to the Dave Wannstedt connections and the aggressive nature of their front office.

Wannstedt is in Tampa?! Oh snap! I had no idea. When did this happen?
