Good. Sign him, please! He can't tackle, he gambles way too much and his age is making his gambles go against him, and he leaves corners out to dry almost every play. Oh and did I mention he can't tackle?
Have fun! _________________

It is what it is. Ed can still make a few plays for you here and there, but he was a borderline liability last year on defense because he won't tackle and since he's lost a couple steps, his timing on his reads aren't what they used to be.
You're still getting a starting-calibre safety, but barely, and only for one year probably.
But if I'm wrong, and Ed suddenly turns it on and performs like he used to - then good for him, he's one of my favorite players of all time! _________________

Just someone finally acknowledging that Reed's declined pretty far in the last couple years. _________________ Geno Smith, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, and Bruce Irvin will all have at least 1 pro bowl season each by the end of the decade.

^^^^^^^^ [The opposite of what he said]
Invaluable in pass defense. Our pass defense has held up against some brutal schedules the past couple years and done better than more talented/healthy secondaries because of Reed's ability to take away the big plays down the field.
No team has allowed fewer passing TD's over the past two years. And we've played a lot of pro bowl QB's over that span. And we haven't had much support from the CBs or pass rushers outside 1 year of Webb and 1 year of Suggs.
You know you're evaluating players wrong when all you mention about a FS is how he is at tackling. If you actually watch the coverage and the hesitance opposing QBs have throwing down the field, then you can see his impact. _________________

Most of what he's saying is right, although he's still a great fit for a team like the Texans. He'll thrive with having that front seven force pressure on a consistent basis.
With that being said, I hope he finishes as a Raven. _________________

You should go back and watch the tape of Ed Reed this season...
And yes I'm going to mention his tackling because it was beyond atrocious. _________________

I know his play has backed off, but he makes it sound like he was terrible _________________
