I doubt that was even a delay. Ruskie wants the Ravens to keep Reed SO bad, he posted it twice. Talk about conflicted. Ruskie hates both teams, hates 'em a lot. He probably has to take a shower after that one.
Ravens are the lesser of two evils to him, I guess. _________________

^^ OK, now THAT was a double post. Clicked "submit" browser took forever, clicked "submit" again...and boom, twice.
If Ruskie gets warned, I get warned. I have to show a united front on this one now. _________________

Dude. Jacoby Jones, Vonta Leach, Bernie Pollard. I'd say this is WELL overdue if it happens. _________________

If this is a bunch of smoke and mirrors to get money from Baltimore, then Ed Reed would have the most epic troll job in Houston history. Better than Carlos Beltran and his switch to NY, better than Albert Puljos' home run off of Brad Lidge, better than David Stern and his no-trade of Paul Gasol, better than John Stockton's buzzer beating 3 over Charles Barkley in G7 of the Western Conference final (well, maybe that one is better...)
I wouldn't even be mad. I would sit there in awe of the troll job perpetrated my Mr. Ed B. Reed. _________________

We know Ed Reed's true motive.

2nd fattest city in the US. Houston has plenty of food. Fajitas from Lupe Tortilla, Mama Ninfa's enchiladas, Perry's Pork Chops, Vic and Anthony's steakhouse, the Pappas' brothers chain - PLENTY of food.
We will need plenty of INTs, so hopefully Ed can provide. _________________

John McClain has a lengthy piece on this
http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2013/03/ed-reed-arrives-in-houston-calls-texans-classy/
| Quote: | Escorted by Texans GM Rick Smith, free agent free safety Ed Reed arrived in Houston aboard owner Bob McNair’s private jet at 11:30 a.m. today.
Smith flew to Atlanta, where Reed makes an offseason home, to pick up the former NFL defensive player of the year with the Baltimore Ravens.
“This is classy, man,” Reed said about McNair sending his jet. “This is southern hospitality. It’s a great feeling.”
Reed, 34, stopped short of saying he’s close to signing with the Texans, who are looking at a free safety to replace Glover Quin (who signed with the Lions).
“It’s mutual,” Reed said about his interest in the Texans. “Both of us are contenders and want to get a championship, but we still have some things to work out.
“Conversations have been great, amazing. We’re on the same page as far as what we need to get done.”
If Reed signs with the Texans, as many around the NFL are predicting, he will be close to New Orleans, his hometown.
“It would mean a lot,” Reed said. “My family’s already been calling. It’s a great feeling to know what the possibilities would be as far as what could happen (if he signs with the Texans).” |

It is only my opinion and I don't wish to offend anyone by it, I just see a team severely limited by their QB.
Fix that and there's no reason why Houston can't win it all. That Green Bay/Houston Monday night game is still fresh on my mind. _________________ Newest Mock Draft .:. 1.11.13

No, I understand. The Texans are seemingly held back by QB play. Then again, we said the same things about Joe Flacco this time last year, no?
The optimist in me sees a run like that somewhere in Schaub, but the realist in me is...well, realistic about it. Probably won't happen. Thing is, what out there in FA as well as the draft represents an upgrade over Schaub? I can't say that guys like Alex Smith or Matt Flynn or Ryan Mallett would take this team further than what Mr. Matthew Rutledge Schaub has taken 'em.
It's the executive decision that has been made, for better or worse. Until a better option is out there, it's the only QB this team is going to have. _________________

lol got to love it. |
It is what it is. Ed can still make a few plays for you here and there, but he was a borderline liability last year on defense because he won't tackle and since he's lost a couple steps, his timing on his reads aren't what they used to be.
You're still getting a starting-calibre safety, but barely, and only for one year probably.
But if I'm wrong, and Ed suddenly turns it on and performs like he used to - then good for him, he's one of my favorite players of all time! | You were in diapers when Reed was drafted (more than likely) are you even a Ravens fan? I hate little boys who cry and whine all day and that's all you do. How long you even been watching the Ravens? Go jump ship back to the west..Ed is an all time great and a Raven...He has played for us and has put his body through a lot, show some appreciation for one of the all time greats who put on the purple and black _________________
