Sign ALL the defensive ends
Needless to say, a freakishly good defense just got even better. _________________

By far my favorite acquisition of the offseason. Bennett is a perfect player to start for us at LDE. Red just doesn't have the pass rush ability to be a 3 down player at the position, but Bennett comes equipped with the ability to both set the edge and rush the passer.
I still HATE Ruskell and Mora for letting Bennett go when it was so clear he was going to be a good player. Glad to get him back and I hope we extend him. _________________

Dude must want to live in Seattle. |
I doubt it had anything to do with it, but he was with Seattle before the Bucs picked him up.
One of Tim Ruskell's brilliant moves, keeping a 2nd kicker over Bennett | I loathe Ruskell. |
Bears fans hate him too |

| Just speculation on my part but I think these short term "prove it" deals for relatively young dlinemen have a lot to do with the jump the dline gets from the crowd noise at home and a secondary that forces QBs to hold the ball a little longer. |

^^^ Yeah, these young DE's have a chance to go showcase there talent for a super bowl contender (stacked defense) with arguably the best home field advantage in the nfl. Smart, they know one huge year they will be hot commodities come there next contract... _________________ I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous. |

Players seem to be taking less money on shorter term deals with contenders in the hope that they stay in the limelight in 2013 and are ready to hit the market again in 2014 or 2015 when the big money is supposed to be available. Smart if you cant get the money you want now but you do have a good shot at a ring while you wait. _________________

Because we're awesome. And he'll likely start. _________________

Because he's going to be the answer at LDE(elephant) for us for a long time. And Big Red will be traded/released/restructured by next season. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

Really..?
Who'd be on the other side of Bennett...? Clemmons, Irvin, or Avril (assuming Bryant moves to DT)?
Either way, I'd think being a "starter" on this offense would be merely a formality, he's still going to get much less play-time since he'll likely be rotated every few plays. _________________ With much cheese,

Clemons is injured so who knows when he'll be back. Irvin and Avril will open the year as the LEO's and both will play DE on passing downs. Bennett is likely to move to UT on those same downs so he won't have to be taken out. _________________
